Chiltern Railways is committed to refresh and improve the Station Information and Security Systems (SISS) over the next 3 years across 37 stations, comprising of 86 platforms, 4 depots (CCTV only) and Banbury ICC control centre for the SISS assets. The upgrade will be for the benefit of customer experience and information, and to support colleagues in delivering excellent customer information. The refresh will replace life expired, mixed, and varied assets with a company standard asset, complying with the new Network Rail and industry standards. The requirement: CRCL is seeking to procure a designer for this project, they will be responsible for feasibility, design, delivery, and transfer to a planned and reactive maintenance regime, meeting all industry standards and where possible exceeding those requirements, the aim is to provide the Chiltern network with a future proof, state of the art and industry leading SISS infrastructure.

Procure a complete new FFCCTV system designed to replace the existing system with a new fully IP camera and recording system Future proofing and negating obsolescence issues This system is to be designed, supplied, and installed to required rail standards, cyber security, and BS standards similar to other Arriva customers.

Procurement of a Supplier to carry out rail infrastructure gritting services on platforms, car parks, walkways etc. The total estimated value of these Services is £1,200,000.00, excluding VAT.

The introduction of a new hybrid Train Presentation Service contract, where the Supplier provides cleaning operatives for Chiltern Railways fleet including East West Rail (EWR). The scope of services includes Berth Cleaning, Heavy Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, and Exterior Cleaning (hand bashing) for a minimum of 199 rail carriages, ensuring adaptability to new rolling stock as required.

Procurement of Soft Facilities Management (FM) Services to include daily cleaning of railway stations, depots and offices, and periodic deep cleans at stations and depots, waste removal, and pest control across the Chiltern Railway network, including East West Railway.

CHILTERN is conducting this Procurement to select a supplier for the provision of Specialist Soft Facilities Management (FM) Rail Cleaning Services at railway stations, rail depots and rail offices, including deep cleans, carpark litter picking, washroom services, vegetation clearance, waste management, and pest control across the CHILTERN network from its central London terminus at London Marylebone along the M40 corridor to destinations in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. This Procurement also covers East West Railway from Oxford to Bletchley.

This Procurement also covers East West Railway from Oxford to Bletchley.

CHILTERN is conducting this Procurement to select a supplier for the provision of planned and reactive maintenance for fire & security assets across the CHILTERN network of stations, maintenance depots and offices. The Contract is for 5+2 years with an estimated value of £1.7m over the 7 years.

Chiltern Railways is conducting this Procurement to select a supplier for the provision of Radio Hire Equipment. This Procurement defines the technical standards for radio equipment deployed across Chiltern Railways operations. It establishes the minimum functional, technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements for handheld equipment used by operational staff, including Route Control personnel, Train Managers, shunters, and station staff. Reliable and interoperable radio communications are critical to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains, effective coordination between front-line teams, and compliance with the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) safety standards. These standards apply to all radio systems intended for use within the Chiltern Railways network, including, private mobile radios, and digital radio systems where applicable. The technical standards set out in this Procurement align with current UK railway regulations, including Ofcom licensing conditions and Network Rail interoperability requirements. Consideration has also been given to environmental resilience, user ergonomics, future scalability, and integration with legacy and safety-critical systems. This Procurement supports the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of radio communication systems that are robust, future-ready, and fully aligned with Chiltern Railways' operational and safety objectives. The contract term is 7 years, 3+2+2 with an estimated value of £700,000 over the 7 year term. The contracting start date is 1st May 2026. 1st May 2026 to 1st May 2029. Possible further extension 30th April 2033.

Design, manufacture, supply, install, and commission of 1 x full cab train driver simulator, and 6 x desktop/lite simulators including a warranty, maintenance & support service. Chiltern Railways requires the provision of one (1) single full cab train driver simulator to support driver training, route familiarisation, operational competency assessments, and degraded / emergency scenario handling. The simulator must replicate the operational characteristics of Chiltern's Class 168 train and the associated Chiltern route network and signalling systems. The simulator will have a full trainers desk to interface and control the simulator. The simulator will be located at the training school in Banbury. Chiltern Railways require 6 x desktop/lite simulators. The simulators must replicate the operational characteristics of Chiltern's Class 168 train and the associated Chiltern route network and signalling systems. The 6 desktops simulators will be located at driver depot locations and primarily used to undertake ongoing competency assessments and continuous professional development training. The locations are: Marylebone Birmingham Aylesbury Banbury Stourbridge Bletchley The total value of £1.5m (estimated) includes design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning (envisaged to be 1 year) plus software upgrades, warranty, maintenance and support services.

Wembley Stadium Station Events Management Services, including crowd management, customer services, and deployment of fixtures and equipment to support crowd management, in the form of a station queuing system.

Train fleet cleaning services, including berth cleaning, turn-around cleaning, and exterior cleaning, more fully described in the Draft Contract, across Chiltern Railways' fleet, specifically class 165, 168, and 196 diesel multiple units, and mark 5A loco hauled by class 68 loco. The Services shall be performed at the following locations: • Aylesbury Depot • Aylesbury South Sidings • Banbury Depot • Birmingham Moor Street Station • Marylebone Station • Oxford Station • Stourbridge Depot • Wembley Depot The Supplier shall ensure trains are maintained in a safe, hygienic, and passenger ready condition in accordance with the performance standards set out in the Draft Contract. The Supplier is responsible for providing train cleaning operatives for the cleaning in a variety of ways a minimum of 263 rail carriages and ensuring adaptability to new rolling stock as required.
