The City and County of Swansea (‘the Council’) are refreshing an established Framework Agreement for Provision of Domiciliary Care and Respite at Home Services for Older People and Younger Adults with Physical Disabilities and/or Sensory Impairment. Please Note: Existing Framework Service Providers are not required to submit a Tender.

The Swansea Council undertake maintenance and construction works. To facilitate these works it is necessary to procure materials and this tender is to facilitate the procurement of surfacing materials and dry stone products. Goods must be delivered at the address shown on the purchase order, free of charge and at the contractors own risk and in such quantities as specified on each order issued under the terms of the contract. All delivery drivers will be required to wear long sleeved high visibility vests or clothing Safety helmets and safety footwear, or they will be turned away. Due to the complexity and variation of requirements, we will at all times reserve the right to make the commercial decision to collect goods from any of the contracted supplier’s dependant of the location of works in relation to the supplier’s premises. This may result in goods being collected from the supplier who has not offered the lowest rate.

Swansea council are tendering for the hire of 3 nr NEW 35-26D 4X4 JCB Teletruks or equivalent type/model machines with attachments for long term for use at the waste transfer site. These vehicles will be replacement for our existing teletruks on a like for like basis. The anticipated running hours each Teletruk is 30 hours per week, 1,500 hours annually. Tenderers are invited to visit site to see our operations to ensure vehicle proposed will be fit for purpose. Service required at 500 hours, hirer to email at least 48 hours before to arrange site visit to carry out maintenance. A demo vehicle will be required for the plant specified to ensure it fits our operational needs. Machine to be supplied with solid Tyres, the replacement of worn tyres lies with the supplier. Cost to be built into overall hire costs.

This framework aims to facilitate the procurement of high-quality door furniture to support the maintenance and enhancement of Swansea Council's infrastructure, ensuring safety, security, and aesthetic value across its properties. The framework encompasses the purchase of a diverse range of door/uPVC furniture items, catering to both domestic and commercial requirements. This tender focuses on procuring door furniture, covering a spectrum of domestic and commercial door fixtures, fire door fixtures, and associated components. The pricing schedule will cover various types of hinges, handles, locks, knobs, closers, letterplates, and associated accessories The framework is designed to enlist a select group of suppliers for effective procurement of door/uPVC furniture. To maintain a competitive yet manageable pool, the framework intends to list a maximum of 10 suppliers. The selection process for these suppliers will adhere to the criteria of the most economically advantageous bid for each specific item or product. Orders placed before 12:00 noon should be available for collection within 8 hours or delivered within 72 hours.

The nature of the works/service provided by Swansea Council in particular Building Services means we are required to provide a guaranteed service level to the tenants of properties held within our City-Wide Housing Stock and its Public Buildings. The City and County of Swansea operate a 48 hour pot hole repair project. This requires a proprietary product to be used out of hours in all condition. The Council recognise the advantage of a one stop fix and all repairs permanent first visit. This contract is for the supply of a Permanent Cold Lay Surfacing Material (PCSM) for use on the Highway and other public areas in Swansea. To be delivered to the Highways Deport in Players Industrial Estate Clydach Swansea. The materials are required to be HAPAS certified PCSM material usable in wet conditions. Products that require a dry surface will not be considered. Products that require a dry surface will not be considered. Material to be available in 25Kg bags in 6mm aggregate. This review will work in line with local demand, based upon proportionate consultation with key stakeholders, user groups and the local communities, building on the initial review, and Market Testing exercise that has taken place. Following this appointment and the completion of the market insight and consultation phase, the Council envisages it will receive an output report which details out the outcomes of the consultation, and a series of options for investment to include budget costs and phasing in priorities. It is anticipated that the Council will then be able to procure a works package, retaining the appropriate consultant in order to throughout appoint Contractor(s) to carry out the Design and Build phases.
