Mongo DB is a range of databases that we use to store data within several of SLC's dev, test, and production systems including the Assess Platform, Digital Repayment Portals, Course Management Service, SLC Notify, Disable Student Allowance E-Invoicing System. These systems are used by SLC stakeholders to manage our business processes and without the licences to use MongoDB several of SLC's critical systems would no longer function resulting in the company being unable to process applications for student finance. As a potential option - MongoDB offers a RAM pool-based Enterprise Advanced (EA) license for on-premises deployments, which is designed for organizations that want to optimize the cost of running MongoDB across multiple servers. Prior to initiating the procurement, SLC wishes to establish the level of market interest to participating in the forth coming procurement process. A new procurement to obtain storage requirements for the SLC IBM estate. It is envisaged to have the manufacturer's warranty included , in addition up to an additional 2 years maintenance and service agreement.

Provision of maintenance and support for the Avaya telephony estate including existing IVR services

SLC require a partner to provide a Transformation Delivery Office (TDO) that includes programme orchestration & governance, change & engagement management, project and programme delivery management across key activities to support and co-ordinate the successful delivery of key programmes including LLE, the Digital Student Finance Service (DSFS), DSA, DRC and Enable.

CLASS is an ageing bespoke application and supported by ageing on premise hardware and virtualisation. It is the key function for Pay and Repay services. SLC strategy is to reduce reliance on physical data centres, and technology which needs to be renewed, maintained, and supported. Hosting CLASS on the Cloud will reduce reliance on data centres and the associated effort to support them. The proposal aligns with overall government Cloud First approach and modernises the technology which supports CLASS. The requirement shall be for the design and procurement of a cloud based platform in order to meet SLC requirements in an ongoing basis. This is a retrospective notice as premarket engagement was undertaken by issuing a premarket engagement questionnaire to all companies listed on CCS Framework reference RM6292 (Cloud Compute 2) Lot 1 -Core Services.
