Stratford School Academy is a co-educational Secondary School in the London Borough of Forest Gate. It has up to 1500 students between the ages of 11 and 16 on roll and 165 teaching and support staff. The Academy is tendering their Agency Staff Supply services to create an Approved Supplier List (ASL) with up to three suppliers to deliver the very best teaching and administrative support staff for the Academy, on both short and longer term placements. The academy uses Agency Staff to cover five key roles throughout the academic year:• Admin staff• Teaching Assistants• Teachers• Cover Supervisors• Exam invigilatorsThe contract start date is the 1st of April 2025 and this will be for an initial three-year period. Stratford School Academy is a co-educational Secondary Academy located in the London Borough of Newham. The Academy serves up to 1500 students aged 11 to 16 and employs approximately 165 teaching and support staff across its two sites. The current contract is with Purgo Supply Services and is part of an over-arching FM contract. The Academy is tendering its cleaning services for both sites and they are seeking a professional cleaning contractor to deliver an excellent level of service throughout the year. The contract is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2026, initially spanning three years with an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years, (3+1+1) beyond this date by mutual agreement. Any contract extension will be subject to the Academy’s satisfaction and agreement on budgets and service levels. Some of the cleaning staff may have LGPS pension schemes and either having ABS in a London Borough, or the ability to achieve ABS status, will be essential for bidders. The estimated turnover for the three-year contract is in the region of £700,000. The contract is focused on consistently high levels of cleaning service and pro-active management. Regular termly and annual reviews throughout the contract duration are mandatory, and a break clause should be included to support both parties in case the relationship does not thrive. The School expects high standards of support and a strong working relationship with the selected bidder.
