Stonewater invited interested and qualified suppliers to participate a competitive process for Network Hardware Replacement and Support Contract, hereafter referred to as ‘The Tender’. The tender formed part of Stonewater's IT strategy is to undertake an infrastructure programme throughout 2024 and 2025.
This covers a number of areas relating to migration of on premises services, to cloud-based, the enhancement of data centre/network connectivity to enable the facility to exploit the benefits of cloud integration and such.
Stonewater was therefore seeking to appoint a contractor to refresh network and firewall hardware at key sites and data centres supported by a managed services partner who can install, migrate, and manage the new equipment.
The site was acquired by Stonewater Developments Limited (the development arm of Stonewater Limited) in March 2021 with the aim of constructing the new homes using modular form of construction and the apartments in a traditional form of construction. The site was initially contracted to a different provider, to be delivered as a modular build. The site clearance works, substructure and installation of the 114no modular houses, the structures, external walls and pre-cast concrete planks to the intermediate floors and roof of the traditional constructed apartment block and the site infrastructure works have progressed.
Works were initially delayed due to design and buildability issues with the proposed modular flat roofs. This resulted in a planning non-material amendment being obtained revising the design to traditional pitch roofs. These works have commenced. However, the main contractor entered into Administration on 12th June 2023 and the build contract has been terminated.
Stonewater was seeking a contractor to support the build of a new development at its Swarcliffe Avenue site. The scheme comprises 33 units, based on the following schedule of accommodation: •2B3P Bungalow @80m2 – 01no. •2B4P 2 storey house @79m2 – 12no. •2B4P 2 storey house@ 81m2 – 03no. •3B5P 2 storey house @93m2 – 17no. The proposed development is located on the former St Gregory’s Primary School site off Swarcliffe Avenue and Stanks Gardens. The site was generally recorded as open land until the construction of the primary school in the 1980’s, which was later demolished in 2019. The main site, accessed off Stanks Gardens is approximately 0.91 hectares and is bound by residential properties to the North West boundary and local Community centre to the East West boundary. 2 plots are to be located off Swarcliffe Avenue in between existing dwelling and substation. The site was purchased from Leeds City Council and planning permission has been granted and received.
