Tender to provide media buying services to SSEN’s for its DNO customers (2026-2029)
SSEN (SCOTTISH HYDRO ELECTRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION PLC and
SOUTHERN ELECTRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION PLC) would like to invite proposals from trusted parties who are experts in their field who will provide specialist, customer-facing media buying services tailored to regulated distribution activities and public awareness campaigns. This includes the following.
1. Strategic media planning and advisory services to support customer communications objectives.
2. Buying, placement and management of media across appropriate channels to maximise reach and value for money.
3. Ongoing optimisation and performance management of media activity throughout delivery.
4. Monitoring, reporting and evaluation of media performance.
5. Compliance with regulatory, governance and brand requirements applicable to a regulated distribution network operator.
Aim
To appoint a supplier capable of delivering effective and value for money media buying services that support SSEN’s customer communications objectives.
Scope
We are seeking to appoint a media agency to support the SSEN brand and the delivery of its marketing campaigns for a period of three years subject to satisfactory performance and annual review with the option to extend, at SSEN’s discretion, for a period of up to two additional years.
The media agencies will provide wide-ranging support which will include, and not limited to, brand and marketing polling pre and post campaign, media selection and schedule development, covering a range of channels suited to our audience.

Southern Electric Power Distribution intends to award framework agreements to contractors who have the necessary capacity, capability, and expertise to deliver Rising Lateral Mains Inspection and Intervention works, as fully detailed in the slide pack attached.
The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire documents (Rising and Lateral Mains Works - PQQ Questions) can be downloaded from www.sse.com/potential-suppliers (Call for Competition drop down).

FW Construction - Distribution OHL Works South (up to 33kV) - Multi Site 0333
Southern Electric Power Distribution intends to award framework agreements for the construction, repair, maintenance and dismantlement of overhead lines and poles on Distribution Networks up to and including 33kV. Whilst conducting Overhead Lines (OHL) Works, there will be a requirement to provide associated ancillary services such as jointing, traffic management, excavation, reinstatement and underground installation of cable. There will also be an expectation that the Supplier will provide their staff to assist with repairs to the OHL network due to adverse weather. The Supplier will make available their normal resource levels in support of such emergency weather events.
The geographical spread covers the Distribution South Network, namely the regions of Thames Valley, Ridgeway, Wessex, and Southeast (including the Isle of Wight).
