SYMCA is seeking a suitably experienced provider of on-street information display panels. The service provider will be responsible for the design, development, manufacture, provision and delivery of the on -street information display panels (the ‘Units’) in accordance with this Specification to facilitate SYMCA’s requirement to providing on street customer information in a printed format. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for the provision of all ancillary fixings required to allow appropriate secure attachment of the Units to SYMCA’s full range of Infrastructure applications throughout South Yorkshire.

The Authority is required to ensure that its investments are subjected to a rigorous assessment process that considers risk and value for money to the taxpayer, and that all investments made by the Authority are regularly monitored and evaluated to identify the return on investment and impact on the South Yorkshire economy. The outcomes of services provided are dependent on which Lot(s) are being delivered under the framework: Lot 1 - Business Case Development - High quality Business Cases that clearly outline the strategic, economic, financial, commercial and management aspects of a project or programme and the expected outputs, outcomes and impacts of the project or programme as set out in the HM Treasury Green Book guidance. Lot 2 - Business Case Appraisal - High quality independent assessments of projects and programmes seeking MCA investment using the documents submitted by applicants and the applicant's response to clarification questions on their scheme, using the MCA appraisal template. Lot 3 - Financial and Commercial Advice and Support - Capacity to provide advice and make recommendations to the MCA based on an independent assessment of the financial viability and risks of an investment opportunity and the financial status and health of the applicant seeking MCA investment, including any conditions that the MCA should seek in return for investment to manage risk. Lot 4 - Evaluation of Projects and Programmes - High quality written evaluation reports that outline the findings of research conducted on projects and programmes funded by the MCA and an assessment of the extent to which projects and programmes have achieved its objectives and expected outputs, outcomes and impacts.

The Combined Authority is seeking to contract with one training provider (The Provider) to deliver the following: • Stage 1. An awareness raising and myth busting campaign and training programme (minimum 225 learners) • Stage 2. An SME Bus driver training programme (minimum 50 learners) • Stage 3. Programme alumnus networking sessions for a period up to 6 months from completing the programme

In 2018 the system was extended to the neighbouring town of Rotherham using innovative tram-train technology where vehicles cross between the light and heavy rail network. To facilitate this extension, seven new vehicles were purchased from Stadler. The system now comprises of four routes and 32 vehicles.

The Purchaser is seeking the supply and installation of an Overspeed Protection System for their 25 Siemens vehicles and the 7 Stadler vehicles.
