The Counselling Service will provide one to one counselling for people, aged 17 (16 Southwark) and upwards, who are experiencing common mental health difficulties. The service will focus on issues amenable to counselling interventions (depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, issues with self-esteem or identity). The service provides one to one time limited counselling sessions based on Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT), or alternatively a solution focused and person centred approach. All - Age Mental Health Alliance are seeking to commission a partnership of voluntary and community sector providers who will work in the London Borough of Lewisham to support people aged 18 years and over in their wellness and recovery to:<br/><br/>• Access prevention and early intervention services<br/>• Prepare for engagement with therapeutic interventions<br/>• Make improvements in their identified need from their DIALOG score<br/>• Access meaningful interventions alongside a range of meaningful therapeutic interventions<br/>• Access to non-Eurocentric therapeutic interventions<br/><br/>The anticipated contract term is from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2027 with the ability to extend the contract by up to 12 months at the sole discretion of the Trust (in multiple periods as required by the Trust).

The proposal involves establishing a monthly clinic (at supplier premises) to serve Lambeth CAMHS ADHD patients aged 17-18 post-diagnosis, specifically to initiate and stabilise medication before entering into a shared care agreement with the patient’s registered practice. Each clinic should have 8 appointments. The contract should be for one year with an option to extend.

Provision of Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Diagnostic Assessment and Treatment

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) intends to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process to award Waythrough the contract to deliver the “Waythrough/SLaM Crisis House” project. This contract involves the operation of a six-bed, 24/7 adult recovery house, providing a therapeutic alternative to Emergency Department attendance or inpatient admission for adults in crisis across Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham. <br/><br/>Following the Most Suitable Provider Process will ensure continuity and efficiency of the existing adult recovery house already run by Waythrough in Lewisham, which will be relocated to Croydon. Waythrough staff have been working with SLaM the deliver this model for over two years; they are embedded in the Trust’s governance processes and clinical systems, are familiar with the Trust’s procedures and protocols, and have established ways of working and relationships with the Trust’s clinical teams. Following this process will ensure seamless operation and avoid causing a gap in provision for our service users and carers.<br/><br/>The Trust is awarding the contract for two years to consolidate the recovery house provision without disrupting patient care and plans to review in totality thereafter. The current adult recovery house provision has beds ringfenced for the Lewisham N2 Pilot from Autumn 2025. As this model is live and there is significant utilisation and demand for trust-wide adult recovery house services, it would be disruptive to patient care to follow a full procurement process and would cause a gap in critical provision. SLaM has conducted a comprehensive review of the current adult recovery house provided by Waythrough, in addition to a market review. The findings of these reviews provide SLaM with confidence that this is the most suitable supplier.

The Authority intends to award a contract for the provision of 24/7 crisis text support service offering immediate mental health assistance via text messaging to individuals in distress. SLaM will act as the lead provider, delivering the service across the 12 South London boroughs covered by the South East London and South West London Integrated Care boards, these are Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.

The Complex Care Programme (CCP) will commission three community rehabilitation facilities (offering 42 beds in total), which will benefit 54 people pa. This service will be an integrated partnership between clinicians and the voluntary sector and offer specialist rehabilitation intervention for adults with complex mental health needs and significant comorbidities, each with capacity to support 14 people at any one time. The support service will not require a CQC registration.<br/><br/>The Services will provide specialist enhanced rehabilitation support to adults typically aged 18-65 diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health needs who would benefit from an intensive rehabilitation and recovery-focused approach which will best be met by an integrated clinical and voluntary sector shared model of care and support within an accommodation-based service. <br/><br/>The services will enable people to receive a community-based service and avoid admission into a rehabilitation unit. It will also strengthen the level of care and support for service users requiring rehabilitation after their discharge from hospital and will mean they have lower levels of need when they step down into supported living. <br/><br/>The clinical element will take the form of in-reach, which will typically include psychiatry, occupational therapy, nursing, and psychology input. This will be provided by the local Mental Health Trust Community Rehabilitation Team who will in-reach to a voluntary sector provider-led 24 hour supported accommodation service.<br/><br/>MARKET WARMING<br/>The CCP shall be hosting a market warming event on 22 June 2023 from 2pm – 3pm, remotely over Microsoft Teams.
