The tenders may be submitted for one or for both services, services will be commissioned under two contracts, unless the successful bidder is the same for both lots whereby a single contract will be awarded combining both services. Greenwich UTC - Lot 1 The borough of Greenwich has one UTC which is co-located within the Emergency Department (ED) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH Woolwich). It will be open 24 hours a day seven days a week. SEL ICB are looking for an urgent care provider who will be innovative in their ways of working to meet the increasing and changing demand for urgent care, as the population needs evolve over the lifetime of the contract, including peak demand periods such as during the winter months. The overall vision for the UTC is that patients should expect the same standard of care & service delivery whatever the time of day and at whichever UTC location across the UK, in line with the National UTC Principles & Standards. The successful provider will be expected to comply with these principles by embedding internal protocols to maintain consistency in terms of staffing, service provision & operational processes. Out of Hours Home Visiting - Lot 2 The service will be expected to treat and care for people with an urgent care need in their own home, thereby reducing the number of ambulance call outs and reducing the need for hospital admission. The provider will be expected to work closely with the NHS 111-CAS provider, who will be the source of referrals into the service. This service will provide urgent home visits when GP surgeries are typically closed, from 6.30pm to 8am weekdays, all day at weekends and all day on Bank Holidays. South East London ICB commissions specialist nursing beds for individuals with complex health needs who require specialist nursing care on a continuous basis. NHS South East London ICB (SEL ICB) is seeking to commission Bromley IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) Service. The service provides education and training to general practice on how to identify and appropriately refer potential victims of domestic abuse, following the recognised evidence-based IRIS model. The service also receives referrals categorised as low risk and provides support to victims of domestic abuse. Mental illness covers a wide range of conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders, through to more severe conditions like schizophrenia. Common mental disorders (CMD) include conditions such as depression and anxiety. Results from the 2014 Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey (APMS) show that 1 in 6 adults had a common mental disorder (CMD) in the week prior to the survey, rising to almost in 1 in 5 adults in London. Mental ill-health represents a significant burden on our local population and the health and care system. It is estimated that almost 47,600 adults in Southwark are currently experiencing a CMD, this is expected to rise to approximately 52,000 individuals over the next decade Although less disabling than major psychiatric disorders, the higher prevalence of CMD mean that their cumulative cost to society is greater. All types of CMD are more prevalent in women than among men, and they are also more likely to experience more severe symptoms. Young women were identified as a particularly high-risk group with an estimated 5,600 cases in the borough. Employment and socio-economic status were identified as a substantial risk factor. In Southwark, approximately half of the claims for employment and support allowance (ESA) are related to mental health - with 6,000 cases in February 2016. The aims of this long-term supported living service are to enable service users with enduring mental health needs to live the community and function at an optimal level of independence, with appropriate levels of support. The Service will therefore play an essential role in meeting the accommodation and support needs of people who may have not lived independently or succeeded in living independently previously. In particular, the Service will meet the needs of individuals who are leaving hospital or residential care services. A key aim of this service is to support residents with complex needs to live as independently as possible, developing the skills necessary to remain living in the community.

NHS South East London ICB is seeking expression of interest from capable, qualified and interested providers to provide an all age wheelchair service which includes local clinics, wheelchair clinical assessment, clinical review, equipment supply, delivery and collection, personal wheelchair budget options, repair and maintenance of NHS wheelchairs emergency urgent response.

NHS South East London ICB is seeking expression of interest (EOIs) from capable, qualified and interested providers to provide an all-age wheelchair service which includes local clinics, wheelchair clinical assessment, clinical review, equipment supply, delivery & collection; personal wheelchair budget options; repair and maintenance of NHS wheelchairs; emergency/urgent response. The service provides a stock of Mobility Equipment (and manages the ongoing maintenance of equipment on that List) to support residents in achieving the best possible independence in their day-to-day living. The stock of Mobility Equipment includes postural seating, seating cushions and further flexibility in the client’s preferences for their wheelchair. This is referred to as Personal Wheelchair Budgets-PWBs- or (interchangeably), Personal Health Budgets-PHBs. The total activity, which includes clinical assessment and review, provision of equipment, spare parts, collection and scrapping of equipment, is universally referred to as the “Wheelchair Service”. The contract will be offered for a period of three years 13 months, with an option to extend for an additional 24 months (3 years and 1 month in total) at the Authority’s sole discretion. This service consists of the continued delivery of Domestic Abuse training and support for all GP practices and Primary Care Network (PCN) staff in Bromley in accordance with the IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) model of DA Training delivery to Primary Care, for the 3 years from 1/3/24 to 31/3/27 (with the option to extend for an additional 2 years). The service will be offered at the premises of participating GP practices, or remotely, as required. The estimated total contract value is £575,000.00. NHS SEL ICB wish to commission a HIU service to work with people to understand any underlying social or emotional reasons for increased health care contacts and to provide emotional/psychosocial support as opposed to a clinical or medical model with an aim to improve patients health and social well being whilst reducing demand on urgent and emergency care services. Service Aims include: Effectively manage, co-ordinate and signpost frequent attenders at A&E to local health, social and voluntary services to help support their identified needs. • Reduce frequent attenders' activity on A&E department and calls made to London Ambulance Service (LAS). • To explore the underlying reason for frequent attendances to A&E, appropriately signpost and make referrals to health and well-being agencies in primary care and the community that can support individual needs. • To engage/reengage people with local community services. • Effectively manage and co-ordinate the chaotic and demanding nature of the patient group through the use of multi-agency support and the voluntary sector • To provide support to identified patients linking to end of life pathways The estimated total contract value is £850,000.00.
