Installation of lighting for the Multi Use Games Area and Perimeter Footpaths at Memorial Park, Reade's Lane, Sonning Common, RG4 9LN
Following the recent development of Memorial Park including a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and a perimeter walking/running/learn to cycle track, Sonning Common Parish Council (SCPC) wishes to effectively, efficiently and considerately light the Park in full accordance with the planning conditions within the decision notice P20/S4912/FUL. Planning Permission was granted prior to the final groundworks being completed for the Park, therefore the lighting impact assessment and strategy and the lighting layout have been revised to ensure the lighting plans are in accordance with the Memorial Park As Built Plans.
Goals:
1. To supply and install LED Lighting for the MUGA and the walking/running/learn to cycle track to the laid out specifications, with care and consideration to the immediate and local area being adjacent to AONB.
2. To deliver on time an easy to use, maintain and future proofed installation within the confines of the pre-installed infrastructure.
3. To complete the works in time for use for the full period of Winter 2022-23 and beyond.

Proposal Submission methods and requirements:
Proposers must submit their Proposal by e-mail to the Clerk, Philip Collings. Documents are to be submitted in PDF and native (e.g. MS Word) format and proposers may submit multiple emails (suitably annotated - e.g. Email 1 of 3) if attached files are deemed too large to suit a single email transmission, or via a we-transfer link.

Application To Tender:
Sonning Common Parish Council require a suitably qualified and experienced Grounds Maintenance Contractor to carryout maintenance of grass areas in Memorial Park, including fenced off areas, maintenance of MUGA, along with grass cutting of urban grass verges, open spaces, 4 play parks, allotment and play area inspections.
The works will comprise of: grass cutting, hedge cutting, possible wildflower management, MUGA cleaning and maintenance, weekly play area inspections of all play areas by a ROSPA certified person.
The contract may also include: some grass renovation, control of weeds on hard surfaces, sweeping of paths, car parks, shrub beds and bordering hedges and provision of a gritting service in inclement weather may be required.
The contractor will also price a schedule of rates for additional works that the council may require to improve sites if required.
In addition, the contractor will provide a 'Handy Man Service' for labour and plant to assist the Council with additional work for a minimum of 5 hours per week. This will cover a very broad range of works from toilet cleaning, painting, bin emptying, fence repairs, general clearance works (this work will be accumulative i.e some weeks lower hours required and others higher).
It is expected to award the contract in late January 2024 on a three year term starting on 1st April 2024.
