Solihull MBC is acting as the lead authority for the procurement exercise relating to the provision of SCANNER (Surface Condition Assessment of the National Network of Roads) surveys for a joint survey of the Classified Road networks of the participating West Midlands District Councils, as defined in 2.4.
It is proposed that the contract will be awarded on a single source basis on behalf of all 6 authorities.
The initial term of the Contract will be for the period of 1 years from commencement but may be extended by mutual agreement by 2 increments of 1 years to an expiry date no later than 31/03/2026.
The services will be subject of review in the 2nd / 3rd year and the results of those reviews will inform the Council's decision whether or not to offer any extension.
The requirement is to undertake SCANNER (Surface Condition Assessment of the National Network of Roads) Surveys for a joint survey of the Classified Road networks of the participating West Midlands' District Councils.
This work activity includes all survey work, data processing and supply of data in accordance with the current SCANNER Specification, work must only be carried out using fully accredited equipment.
It is anticipated that the total expenditure within each year of the contract will be in the order of £30,000 - £40,000 based upon the requirements of SMBC and the six other authorities detailed in this ITT.
The requirements of this contract it to support the ongoing maintenance needs of SMBC's in house street lighting service. By the supply and delivery of general electrical components used within the electrical industry, such as cables , flexes, lamps, electrical switch gear, isolators, joints, connecters, timers, , electrical tools, power tools and consumables.
This tender process is to establish a new framework to call off services for two separate lots as identified below:
Lot 1: Minor civil projects with a budget ranging from £0 to £500,000. Projects falling within this lot include but are not limited to small-scale infrastructure, maintenance, and repair works. Mostly incorporating active travel projects and pedestrian connectivity improvements.
Lot 2: Projects exceeding £500,001 in value. This lot encompasses larger-scale civil projects such as major infrastructure construction, substantial highway works and complex engineering projects.
Contractors can apply for Lot 1, Lot 2 or both Lots. Contractors interested in either framework lot within this tender must carefully review the specifications and requirements outlined for each lot. Detailed documentation, including project plans, cost estimates, and compliance assurances, must be provided according to the guidelines set forth for each respective lot.
The Council is seeking a contractor to provide tracing and CCTV services of its highway drainage network, up to and including assets of 900mm in diameter. In order to carry out the tracing and CCTV services, the contractor must be capable of cleansing assets, including jetting and root cutting.
The Sustainable Travel Team within Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) are looking to procure an external provider to design and deliver an 11-month educational campaign aimed at improving driver awareness and understanding of cyclist, motorcyclist, and pedestrian behaviours, focusing on their vulnerabilities and safety needs.
The Contract will commence on 21st April 2025 for a period ending on 31 March 2026.
Bidders will be expected to complete quotation documents. Documents can be downloaded through this portal and must be submitted by 12:00 midday on 21 February 2025. Requests for clarification must be submitted through the portal by Wednesday 29 January 2025; bidders are therefore encouraged to review the documents as early as possible.
The estimated value is £45,000 for the contract period.
