The maximum value of any job is unlikely to exceed £50,000. Applicants must be approved Helifix installers or other approved. Upon completion of works to a property , the Contractor will be expected to produce a written guarantee of a minimum of 10 years. This will be a single stage tender process. Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing Ltd manages and maintains approximately 4100, tenanted domestic Council properties located over a large geographical area in the North West and South East of Shropshire. As part of our management of these homes we aim to keep all homes to a good state of repair. Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing carry out various construction, refurbishment and maintenance contracts to all homes and communal areas of buildings. In line with these works asbestos removal and remedial works will be required to allow relevant maintenance works to be completed. The works will include but not be limited to licensed and non-licensed removals, encapsulation and shadow vac procedures. Contractor Requirements: Contractors who are selected to tender will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record in carrying out fast paced contract work whilst maintaining excellent customer focus. Service Providers must also demonstrate previous experience of liaising with tenants who may be vulnerable and have special needs. Tender Process: This is a two-stage tender process. Applicants will receive a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) as part of stage 1 of the tender process. Applicants that are successful from stage 1 will receive final tender documents including schedule of rates which will complete stage 2 of the tender process. The external auditor will be required to attend meetings of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee to present on the following audit work: - Proposed Annual Audit Plan (anticipated in April) - Final Audit Completion Report / Management Letter (anticipated in June) The contract for the provision of external audit services will officially commence on the 1st December 2023 and the appointment of the auditor will be confirmed at the STAR Board to be held on 27th November 2023.
