Sheffield Hallam University wishes to appoint a provider/ providers of Waste Management Services. There are two lots within this procurement:

The University, including all wholly owned subsidiaries of the University, including but not limited to SHULaw, has a requirement for sports clothing and leisurewear for both staff and students in different parts of the University.
Academy

Sheffield Hallam Active (part of Sport Services)
The University department Sheffield Hallam Active is responsible for health and fitness and social sport delivery and seeks to deliver a high quality and value for money service to all students and staff of Sheffield Hallam University. A selection of facilities including fitness suites, gymnasiums, dance studio, sports halls and synthetic pitches are available. There are 2800 members. Our student members also benefit from access to an additional 7 venues for fitness, swimming and sports within the city through our partnership with SIV
Team Hallam (part of Sport Services)
Team Hallam deliver the University's Performance Athlete Support Programme (PASP) in the form of scholarships and in kind support and is also responsible for the government funded Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).
Team Hallam clothing is required for both staff and students associated with University sports teams. Team Hallam is responsible for the delivery of competitive and performance programmes and concentrates on supporting representative student clubs competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and local competition. There are currently 1600 members across 41 clubs, with over 70 competitive teams.
Students who are members of BUCS teams also like to purchase Team Hallam leisurewear.
In addition to the above, the University has a new requirement for Team Hallam branded casual lounge wear clothing. We invite proposals for a range of casual clothing which will bear the Team Hallam logo but also be identified with a particular Sports Club. This clothing may or may not be in the primary brand colours and may need to have a "club" name on it (which would be added at point of order).
The University wishes to appoint auditors to provide External Audit Services. The firm appointed must meet the eligibility criteria for external auditors of higher education corporations as set out in paragraph 59(b) of Schedule 8 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. The external audit services will be required to be performed with due professional care in accordance with appropriate professional auditing practice, including International Standards on Auditing (UK) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.

. The external auditors appointed must be independent of the University group and comply with the ethical requirements relevant to the audit of financial statements in the UK, including the Financial Reporting Council's Ethical Standards on Auditing.

Sheffield Hallam University carried out a mini-competition under the Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography Equipment
Framework NEUPC LAB1016AP Lot - 2. An award was made to purchase Gas Chromatography Equipment with its supporting
equipment, initial consumables, software, and warranties. The equipment is part of a long-term plan to ensure that the University
continues to offer an up-to-date, industry-relevant experience to our students and that we teach innovative cutting-edge technologies that not only add to the student experience but also the credibility of the University. The Gas Chromatography instruments will be used to support a wide range of activities including taught practical classes for undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, research, and commercial activities.
Sheffield Hallam University required High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with its
supporting equipment, initial consumables, software, and warranties, for the College of
Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. A Mini Competition was carried out through the Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography Equipment Framework NEUPC LAB1016AP Lot - 2. This agreement will allow us to make the initial purchase of 8 x HPLC systems AND the follow-on purchase of 8 x HPLC systems and accessories.
Sheffield Hallam University requires a flatbed cutter with its supporting equipment, initial consumables, software, and warranties, for the Social Sciences and Arts (SSA). The equipment is part of a long-term plan to ensure that the University continues to offer an up-to-date, industry-relevant experience to our students and that we teach innovative cutting-edge technologies that not only add to the student experience but also the credibility of the University.
This tender is for the supply, installation, commissioning and warranty and maintenance of a flatbed cutter. The equipment should have adequate robustness, high precision, and repeatability to facilitate the manufacture of high-performance components that is subject to tolerance requirements. The flatbed cutter will be used for a combination of fabric and material-based cutting (in order to support fashion courses) and rigid material cutting used throughout our art and design courses (e.g., prototype induction, product and interior design).
The new flatbed cutter will continue to provide an essential cutting service used to support a variety of courses within SHU - it will provide students the opportunity to realise their own ambition and assist Sheffield Hallam in becoming the world's leading applied university.
The technical specification tables of requirements below detail the essential and highly desirable performance or functional requirements of the machine identified by the University.
We also require information about Warranty, Documentation, Maintenance, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Acceptance Testing, Training, Health and Safety (H&S) and Technical Support within the Quality Criteria (Reply Form 3) section of the tender pack.
The equipment needs to be delivered and installed including training need to be completed by 31st July 2022. Four members of university staff will require full training on the machine, and this will need to be completed over the period between installation and 31st July 2022.

The University has Sports grounds at 2 separate locations (detailed within the Invitation To Tender) in Sheffield. These are used for a variety of sports including rugby, football, track athletics events/training, hockey.
These have been regularly maintained for several years and are in reasonably good condition.
The University requires a contractor who can meet all of our service specification requirements for the regular maintenance of these grounds and would be willing to undertake additional ad-hoc grounds maintenance / landscaping duties from time to time.

Sheffield Hallam University are looking to appoint a supplier who can deliver a short co-curricular programme or series of linked activities to support the work experience placement preparation for PGT students of whom the majority are international students.
The aim is to deliver a work experience placement preparation offer to ensure that PGT students on a work experience (placement) course are provided with a meaningful, supported co-curricular experience to prepare and give them the skills required to seek and source a work experience (placement) following the activity or programme, the activity or programme must be linked to industry.
