The scope of work is to deliver a Secure Service Edge (SSE) solution to enable Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). This new service will provide SGN with enhanced security controls to protect enterprise traffic to the internet, cloud services, and applications. The solution is intended for an initial three-year term, with the option to extend for a further two years.
The scope of work is to deliver the Cloud Detection & Response (CDR)/ Cloud Native
Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) services using the Wiz CNAPP cloud native
platform (Wiz CNAPP cloud).
CNAPP is a convergence of 3 different capabilities, which provide the foundations for an
effective Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) capability which SGN does not currently
have. This brings together the following three areas:
Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
CSPM continuously monitors, identifies, alerts on, and remediates compliance risks and
misconfigurations in cloud environments. Cloud misconfigurations are often exploited by
threat actors. CSPM systems monitor cloud assets, then continually and automatically
check for cloud misconfigurations that may result in data breaches. Cloud environments
can be extremely complicated, and mistakes can be very hard to detect and manually
Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management (CIEM)
Monitors human and service identities; effective permissions; and exposed secrets across
cloud environments. CIEM continuously analyses risk and generates least privilege access
policies to efficiently remove any unused, risky, or excessive privileges. This mitigates the
risk of escalation of privilege, lateral movement and ultimately data breaches in the cloud.
IT currently does not have this level of visibility onto cloud permissions and identities.
Cloud Workload Protection (CWP)
CWP’s monitor workloads in the cloud, scan for vulnerabilities and provide information
regarding those vulnerabilities.
The Pricing Model for the SGN CDR/CNAPP solution and service is based on a combination
of the service elements requested by SGN.
The basis of pricing is outlined below and tailored to meet SGN’s requirements.
Appointment of a Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL) to assist with optimisation and management of our end-to-end logistics function which includes managing Distribution Centres, overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, and implementing a robust Warehouse Management System (WMS). It also covers reverse logistics, providing fleet and courier services and managing Last Mile delivery utilising methods such as Pick-Up Drop-Off (PUDO) sites. Additionally, it involves real-time tracking of high-value assets, waste management, and disposal, along with continuous support and improvement through training and system updates, ensuring efficient, sustainable, and compliant operations for SGN. The service requirements will be divided into two separate contract Lots: Lot 1 - Logistics Services and Implementation & Lot 2 - Logistics Bespoke IT Solutions. The award value of £46.2m is the forecasted contract value across both lots.
The scope of work is for a managed service for the supply, upgrade, and installation of communications services and equipment across the low-pressure and high-pressure gas distributions networks
IT Services in scope of this event include:
• Project and Solution Delivery and Implementation Services: Delivery model focused on an outcome-based approach and fixed-price projects reducing the T&M churn and driving greater ownership with the supplier end to end which will reduce shadowing. This will also allow for augmentation of resources to deliver and implement the services both onshore and offshore allowing for a quicker response to demand.
• Testing Services (as part of project and solution delivery): Specific testing services using an outcome-based approach, reducing T&M, and driving greater ownership end to end.
• Support Services:
To enable the business to respond to ad-hoc support requirements in IT operations and provide more technical and commercial flexibility in response to the growing number of solutions being delivered

The scope of work is for a services framework to capture survey requirements across SGN gas assets involving c.13,000 site surveys per year and an additional 13,000km of pipework. Survey requirements include Riser Surveys, Leakage Surveys, Trigger Surveys, Pressure Surveys, Valve Surveys and Mains Risk Prioritisation System (MRPS).
Scotland Gas Networks and Southern Gas Networks have an obligation to frequently survey its LTS pipelines, and a limited number of specific distribution mains, to identify building encroachments, ground movement, activities or potential activities by third parties in close proximity to a pipeline or specific main. A key requirement of the survey is to ensure that third parties do not damage, interfere or cause an escape of pressurised gas from a Company asset. SGN commercial agreements have a requirement to survey pipelines to meet third party contractual obligations. Aerial surveillance utilising helicopters is an established and effective method of surveying long lengths of buried pipelines to identify threats. Aerial Surveillance is deemed as an essential safety related service by the Company.
The multi-site landscaping and site husbandry service composes of the following activities:
- Ensuring that operational sites are maintained throughout the year, with planned and ad-hoc services being undertaken. These include but are not limited to: vegetation cutting, weed killing, tree surgery, as well as minor civils works such as replacement of broken paving slabs, gutter repairs, minor building works and fencing.
