Background In December 2023, the UK Government announced new capital funding for two energy efficiency schemes, the Local Authority Retrofit Scheme (LARS) and the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 3, amounting to £500m and £1.25bn, respectively. Both Schemes will run from April 2025 and aim to tackle fuel poverty and make progress towards Net Zero 2050. Up to 200,000 homes will be insulated or retrofitted, improving energy performance and lowering bills. Description Salix Finance, on behalf of the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, wish to engage the market to seek a Delivery Partner(s) to work in conjunction with Salix Finance to facilitate delivery of the SHDF Wave 3 and the Local Authority Retrofit Scheme Wave 3 Grant Funded Programmes. Salix Finance invited organisations with the capability & capacity to support these funded programmes to express interest in the pre tender market engagement (PTME) session and the notice was published on Find a Tender on 7 February 2024. Following the previous engagement Salix Finance is conducting a further engagement by way of an online briefing on 11 April 2024 at 2 pm. The purpose of this session is to inform the market: • SHDF 3 and LARS policy developments • main feedback from the previous supplier engagement • proposed route to market • indicative procurement timescale • draft Target Operating Model (TOM) & Delivery Plan • how to participate in the procurement exercise • next steps • Q & A If you are interested in attending this session, please email your company details, name and job title of the person attending the session to procurement@salixfinance.co.uk by 10 April 2024 at 12 noon. We will send you the joining instruction with a TEAMS invite. This pre tender market engagement is separate to any potential future procurement exercise.
