The requirement is for a Hovermap LiDAR system that will increase capability for measuring trees, woodlands and hedgerows. Combining LiDAR and hovermap technology captures millimetre-accurate 3D scans of whole trees, enabling non-destructive estimates of volume, biomass, and carbon with significantly reduced uncertainty compared to traditional allometric methods. This high-resolution data supports more reliable greenhouse gas reporting and enhances the evaluation of nature-based solutions.

Each year c.20,000 dried, pressed, plant specimens for scientific research are received at RBG, Kew as gifts & exchanges from scientific institutions worldwide and incorporated into the Herbarium collection. The dried material is fragile and susceptible to damage, but if properly prepared and well curated, herbarium specimens will last indefinitely.
At Kew they are glued securely onto sheets of strong, archival quality mounting card for support, to display the specimen allowing maximum observation and to preserve the specimen for many years.
Supplies of high-quality mounting card are vital for herbarium curation, as inferior, non-archival substitutes will deteriorate rapidly and must be replaced.

To receive tailored updates on the activity from the Government and Parliament.
Research into other suppliers show that other suppliers are unable to offer the level of tailoring of political updates which Kew requires for its broad reaching yet specific interests. Research indicates that Navigate Politics is the only political monitoring software available from research which provides adequately tailored monitoring to make it useful and that uses humans and not AI to provide the updates. We require amplicon sequencing of a 550 bp amplicon for up to approximately 2,000 samples using Illumina. We would like paired-end reads and need a minimum of 10,000x coverage per sample. The sequencing may be done on a single lane of (for instance) NextSeq or multiple lanes of MiSeq, cost depending. We will do the amplification of the target region using partial Illumina adapters and would like the supplier to do the barcoding, QC, equimolar pooling, library prep, size selection and sequencing. We need the data returned in bam or raw fastq format, demultiplexing and further bioinformatic support is not necessary.
