The Authority is seeking Tender for a single Contractor (Service Provider) able to provide all building maintenance repairs and Civil Works activities either directly or through their sub contract arrangement. The Contractor will be able to operate across all locations in Berkshire and carry out any activities from minor building repairs through to small projects

The Authority is seeking Tender for the provision of a support and maintenance contract for the Integrated Communications Control systems (known as the DC3000 ICCS) used by the Thames Valley Fire Control Service (TVFCS). The two installations of the DC3000 ICCS are located at: • RBFRS Headquarters, Calcot Reading - Primary installation • OFRS Headquarters , Kidlington, Oxford- Secondary installation TVFCS is a joint collaboration of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire Fire Services. TVFCS use the two installations of the DC3000 ICCS as an essential part of the wider integrated solution to manage all fire related emergency calls for the Thames Valley. TVFCS provide this essential service to a high standard 24/7, 365 days a year. In the event that the TVFCS partnership should cease prior to this contract's end date any of the three services that are a party to this contract under the umbrella of TVFCS may continue to use this contract for any of its remaining period for the installations they continue to use.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue requires a suitable supplier to conduct valuation of its property portfolio (21 properties) in accordance with RICS - Valuation Global Standards 2021, effective 31st January 2022 (the "Red Book") to include the International Valuation Standards and the RICS Valuation - Global Standards 2017 - UK National supplement. The Authority used three quotes, 100% price only evaluation to award contract to lowest bidder.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service require to purchase 73 new factory built Lenovo ThinkPad as part of its phased replacement of 4 years old laptop which have completed its replacement cycle. Three quotes price only evaluation process followed to award contract.

During the period Thursday 2 - Monday 6th June 2022 a domestic pipe within the internal ceiling area of the Training Centre Lecture Block, Whitley Wood Fire Station bust and created an internal flooding event which required the provision of temporary premises. Temporary provision of modular buildings have been present in the training centre since the flooding episode in June 2022 as contingency to facilitate operational continuity of the site.

The Authority requires a flexible call-off service to call-off for appliance fire extinguisher, refill, servicing and replacement service and supply of other fire related products. The Authority invited three suppliers CF International, RES Systems Ltd and Walker Fire UK Ltd to quote for the provision of appliance fire etinguisher, refill, servicing and replacement service. The contract is awarded to RES Systems Ltd on the basis of most advantegous tender.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for a supplier to provide service for the provision of Mobile Voice and Data through Crown Commercial Service RM3808 - Lot 6.

The Avaya solution is county wide and provides telephone through the data network to a VOIP standard. The system requires both maintenance support and software licensing through Avaya to remain current and up to date. The Authority has utilised three quotes process to award the contract.

As part of the H.O. Firelink Project a catalogue has been produced by Airwave Solutions Ltd to provide the Fire & Rescue Services with information on the additional products & services that are available for purchase as Call-Off Items, as part of the Firelink Project Agreement. Supply of services and equipment will require individual Fire and Rescue Services to enter into a direct agreement with Airwave under Call-Off terms and conditions, and the Call-Off procedure available from our Firelink Regional Delivery Team member or from the Firelink project office. The Items being called off for this contract award are rugged Mobile data terminals for installation into fire appliances. These devices being Panasonic CF33 devices as listed in the Firelink Catalogue ref: Fire Product Catalogue 2022 v13.3 8 November 2022. This is a compliant route to market under the framework.

Purchase of MAN Truck via the CCS framework RM6060.

The contract was awarded on a three quote price only evaluation. Wildfire and fires in the open are a prevalent risk within RBFRS. The primary risk is during the late spring, summer and early autumn. These incidents tend to occur away from roads and are difficult for standard appliances to access. The service has had an offroad capability based around a lightweight vehicle with a small pump and water tank. This has proved extremely useful and effective at wildfire / fires in the open and the ability to deploy more of these style vehicles at incidents has been identified through operational feedback as a way to increase operational effectiveness. The service has blue light fitted Ford Rangers that are capable to carry light weight pumps and tanks and have the capability to respond offroad. The vehicles are strategically located across the service and one is currently being used to carry a pump demonstrating the capability and feasibility of the system.

Replacement boilers

The Authority required water rescue equipment for new water rescue team at Slough Fire Station. The requirement was for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and inflatable rescue equipment and the incumbent supplier for the equipment at Caversham Road is Northern Diver International Ltd.
