To deliver support to people locally in RCT who want to set up as a Microenterprise for care, guiding them through set standards and legal requirements of running a business.
'The charity will deliver unregulated information, advice and assistance to help older residents and carers, without support from Dementia Community Connectors, to make informed choices and access their rights and entitlements; supporting older people to engage with community activities that improve health, wellbeing and independent living; and enable local people to take part in community conversations and influence developments across the County Borough. To support delivery of the RCTCBC Corporate Plan 2024–2030, “Working with our Communities”, by providing services that help older people in Rhondda Cynon Taf to live healthier, safer and more independent lives.
Supported Accommodation for Homeless, Complex Single People 24/7 high level support (pathway from Temporary accommodation / Hostel Provision)
This includes two contracts (Lots) to provide a supported accommodation scheme to single people who are:
• 18+
• Who have been assessed as homeless
• Have been assessed as having a variety of support needs through the supported accommodation eligibility assessment and panel process.
The project will accommodate single people, both male and female, and provide flexible housing related support to help individuals to live independently and move onto suitable, affordable alternative housing. This alternative housing may include, private rented accommodation (including shared properties), social housing or in some cases moving in with family and friends. If appropriate, this may also include recommendation for a placement in alternative supported accommodation or a care setting.
The project will be staffed 24 hours a day and all clients will be supported to comply with the terms and conditions and house rules, which include a requirement to engage with the provision of support.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
• To prepare individuals with the necessary skills to transition successfully into independent living.
• To support individuals to live independently and move onto alternative, affordable long term housing. This alterative housing may include shared properties, private rented accommodation, social housing etc.
• To assist clients with their presenting support needs, offering a harm reduction approach and ensuring referrals to relevant agencies are made to meet medical and physical needs (e.g., Specialist Health Team).
• To provide all residents with support to help identify their needs, expectations, and aspirations.
• To provide a range of planned activities that are designed to help clients develop their personal skills to live independently and to secure and manage a home.
• To provide support that is person centred, taking into account their personal needs, interests, and individual goals.
• To work in partnership with Housing, Substance Misuse providers, Health provision, Adult Social Care, training, employment agencies and Criminal Justice Services to deliver holistic support packages.
• To ensure clients are referred and supported by the agencies that can most effectively and appropriately meet their needs.

RCT Council is an ‘Administering Body’ of the national occupational Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), and is the largest LGPS Fund in Wales, with total membership in excess of 84,000 and includes 70 participating Employers.
In addition, the Pension Team also administer the Firefighters Pension Scheme (FPS) on behalf of the South Wales Fire & Rescue Authority.
Support and Maintenance for Councils Internet Site
Hosting, patching, support and maintenance for the Council's cloud hosted content management system and sites built within the content management system.
Award of Hostel Provision (Temporary supported accommodation) in Rhondda Cynon Taf
Rhondda Cynon Taf is commissioning a hostel service. Which provide 22 units in total, over two locations
- Mill Street Hostel for single individuals 18 +
- The Grange Hostels is for single individuals 16-24 years of age.
The hostels are for high level complex individuals that require ongoing support to live independently. The Hostels are staffed 24/7, providing flexible housing related support to help individuals alleviate homelessness, primarily for those who have been assessed as needing Medium/High Supported Accommodation as a move on pathway. The hostels will provide a Psychologically Informed Environment with staff delivering support that is designed to take into account the emotional and psychological needs of the individual.
THE PROVISION OF SEWER CLEANING AND INSPECTION SERVICES
The contract is to provide Drainage Inspection Surveys including GPS locations and Cleansing services throughout the Borough. The requirements will be on a daily basis throughout each of the contract years, with a programme of works identified in advance by the Council’s Engineers. The Councils network includes a vast number of drains, gullies, sewers, and culverts.
