Raunds Town Council intends to provide a new concrete skate park facility at the site of the former (decommissioned) skate park at Amos Lawrence Playing Fields. The scheme will re-establish a much-needed leisure and sporting facility for the local community.
The Council has formed a Working Group to oversee the project which incudes members of the public, and feedback from the Working Group has identified that the users would like to see a variety of wheeled sports opportunities for all ages and abilities.
The successful contractor will be responsible for finalising the design and delivering the construction stage of the project. This will involve several key deliverables including the submission a technical design, liaison with the Council & local community, ensuring safe construction and completing a smooth handover process.

Raunds Town Council is seeking a suitably experienced contractor to undertake remedial works to a distressed retaining wall at Saxon Hall. The works will include vegetation removal, installation and testing of R32 self-drilling micropiles, masonry repairs, and reinstatement. This is a design-and-construct contract based on a geotechnical design report and structural inspection findings.

Subject: Tender Submission - Saxon Hall Retaining Wall
Raunds Town Council is inviting tenders from experienced and competent contractors for the provision of Christmas lights display services across the town centre. This contract includes the supply (hire and/or installation), testing, maintenance, removal, and storage of festive lighting for the Council's annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event and wider seasonal display.
The contract will commence in January 2026 and the Council invites quotations for both a three-year term (2026-2028) and a five-year term (2026-2030). Tenderers must submit pricing for both durations to enable the Council to assess best value.
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
Planning and installing Christmas lighting across designated areas of Raunds, including the Town Hall, Saxon Hall grounds, Brook Street, High Street, and the Town Square.
PAT testing, maintenance, and annual safety inspections (including anchor bolt load testing).
Supplying rented lighting displays for 16 lamp columns (12 single, 2 double, 1 feature).
Storage of council-owned lighting displays.
Attendance at the Christmas Lights Switch-On Event (last Sunday in November).
Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations and relevant HSE guidance.
Providing fault repair services during the operational period.
Safe dismantling and storage/removal of lighting following the festive season (by 18 January each year).
The contractor is expected to work closely with Council officers, provide creative input, ensure energy efficiency, and propose alternative display designs annually, if requested.
