The contractor will work in the northern area of the District.
The contractor will be appointed to complement RHL's inhouse Direct Labour Force to ensure sufficient capacity and flexibility to commence works quickly following each allocation of an empty property.
Due to the unpredictable nature of terminating tenancies there will be fluctuations in demand for the works required, therefore, it is only possible to provide estimated numbers of void/empty properties based on previous years. This has fluctuated between 122 and 157 empty properties per annum.
Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) is seeking to appoint two contractors to undertake electrical works to approximately 8000 homes that we manage in North East Derbyshire. The works will comprise of a wide range of longer duration repairs, improvements to an existing electrical installation (e.g. New consumer unit, electric shower) and part or whole house rewires. This work will be in both occupied and void properties and will form part of our overall strategy for the electrical assets we are responsible for.
RHL employ a number of electrical staff that undertake our responsive electrical repairs programme, part of our Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report (DEICR) programme and some of the works sets out in this tender. They do not undertake any whole house rewires in occupied homes.
A sperate contractor working with our in-house team will deliver the (DEICR) programme and some of the works allocated to the successful bidders of this tender will have been identified from the DEICR programme. Other works will form part of our capital programme to improve and upgrade our electrical assets and ensure the safety of our customers and housing stock.
The tender is for two lots of similar value, one for the North area of our district and the other for the South area of our district (see appendix 1) for a plan of the two areas. Each lot will be awarded to a different contractor. Both contractors will also be different from the contractor undertaking the DEICR programme.

The contractor will work in the North, Central and South of the district.
The contractor will be appointed to complement RHL's inhouse Direct Labour Force in order to ensure sufficient capacity and flexibility to allow required works to be completed in a timely manner.
Due to the unpredictable nature of reported works, there will be fluctuations in demand for the works required. It is only possible to provide estimated numbers of installations based on previous years. This has fluctuated between 100 Kitchens, 80 Bathrooms, 30 wet-rooms and 15 carpet installations.
Contrat value is £120,000 per annum
Rykneld Homes manages 99 blocks in total of flats within the District of North East Derbyshire. The blocks vary in size and complexity from simple two story buildings to larger multi floor buildings.
We have commenced a programme of works to upgrade the security, standard of finish and safety of the communal areas we mange. This work consists of secure entrance and exit doors, intercom to all flats, upgraded lighting, decoration and floor finishes.
In addition to this work we are also improving the provision of cleaning services. This work consists of the regular cleaning of external facia boards, guttering, roof and external windows at Stonelow Green, Dronfield (five blocks) and external facia boards, guttering and external windows at Hallowes Court, Dronfield (10 blocks) together with ad hoc orders for the remaining blocks as and when required. The successful contractor will be required to deliver a high-quality service to our customers ensuring that the facia boards and the external side of the communal windows are clean.

Scope of requirements and contract length
The External Auditors will be required to perform the necessary audit work to enable them to express an audit opinion on RHL's annual Financial Statements.
In addition, undertake works and submit the Corporation Tax return on behalf of RHL.
The contract length will be three years with an option to extend annually for a maximum of five years (3+1+1). The contract will commence in October 2023 in order to give the successful Company time to prepare for the 2023/24 audit of the financial statements.
The tender will be assessed on your price and quality submission and a weighting of 60:40 will be applied respectively.

The existing dwelling is occupied, and the contractor must allow full provision of costs for undertaking works and service connections whilst working in the occupied dwelling.
Contractors must make allowance for protecting the contents and fittings of the dwelling and making good, clearing up and redecoration where required of areas affected by the works.
