The authority wishes to gauge the level of interest in this tender opportunity via the questionnaire and how to shape the final tender documents.
It is hoped that there will be a wide participation in the pre-market engagement and the authority is keen to engage with SMEs as part of this process.
This is the opportunity for market to help shape the future provision of the service that RHL will deliver to its customers. It is therefore essential that organisations understand that this activity does not affect an organisation's positioning either positively or negatively should a procurement opportunity arise subsequently.

The authority has a requirement to procure a supplier or suppliers to deliver / support the provision of services indicated below but not limited to the following requirements
a. Full removal and storage services will be required.
b. The service required under the proposed contract will be for typical home/domestic removals from/to properties managed and/or maintained by Rykneld Homes Limited
The authority has a requirement to procure a supplier or suppliers to deliver / support the provision of services indicated below but not limited to the following requirements
a. Full removal and storage services .
b. The service required under the proposed contract will be for typical home/domestic removals from/to properties managed and/or maintained by Rykneld Homes Limited.
c. Such domestic removals will almost always be within the geographical area noted in the map information. The removal services required may also include
i. provision of temporary storage of items.
ii. a complete packing service: which may include dismantling and reassembling items of furniture; white goods; and boxes and/or containers to enable customers to pack / unpack their belongings.
iii. Additionally, and in tandem the removal & storage service providers may be required to provide inventory checking services on request from time to time.
iv. Storage of large items - such as but not limited to trailers, caravans or vehicles that may have fuel
v. RHL may require the successful contractor to dispose of white goods, large items and other hard to dispose of items.
vi. Please note, the providers storage facility must be within 20 miles from the border of Rykneld Homes Limited as it is essential to enable service users to access their belongings if required.
vii. Moves will include personal belongings for a domestic house including households of any size and where storage of such belongings may at times be required. The provider will be required to store possession from up to 50 houses at any one time
d. To be able to react at short notice. Due to the nature of the service, planned and scheduled notice cannot always be guaranteed. It will be a requirement of the successful contractor to be able to react to emergency removal and storage needs. The successful contractor will need to demonstrate flexibility in the delivery of this service.
e. It is expected that the service will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the geography and demographic make up of the area that Rykneld Homes Limited services.
f. RHL require the successful contractor to cover all liabilities in respect of this contract and at this stage it is not proposed that RHL will contribute to the costs of any liabilities incurred as a result of this contract.
Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) working with, and on behalf of, North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC), is seeking to appoint a contractor to underpin the gable wall and part of both front and rear elevations & repair works to the above flats. Customers at both flats have been decanted whilst the following work is undertaken.
Following investigations at the above we found that there has been lateral movement of the property. The blocks have separated from the beam, some have cracked, and there is a pattern of external cracking suggesting foundation failure and the internal cracking is in line with the suspected failure. This was noted previously but trial pits were inconclusive.
External cracking to the front below lounge window and to the rear adjacent entrance door below bathroom, window, above and downstairs.
