Reed in Partnership is seeking key partners for our bid for the Access to Work Holistic Assessments contract, commissioned by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Delivery is expected to commence in June 2023, covering England, Scotland and Wales. Please note, final requirements of this contract, including contract duration may change once the final bidding documents are released by DWP. Access to Work (AtW) is a grant scheme supporting the recruitment & retention of people with disabilities/health conditions in paid employment. AtW forms part of the DWP's strategic goals to lower unemployment and remove barriers to work. The Holistic Assessment is a critical part of the AtW claim. The Assessments are used where it is unclear how a customer's condition affects how they could do their job, not to diagnose disabilities/health conditions. Opportunity Overview: Reed in Partnership is considering bidding as a prime for the Refugee Employment Programme (REP), commissioned by the Home Office in the following Lots: North East, Yorkshire & Humber, West Midlands, East of England, London, South West, South East. The REP aims to enhance support already provided to refugees to help them integrate and become self-sufficient quickly. The REP will deliver employment support, English language support and integration support. The REP objectives include: • Supporting refugees into sustainable employment, tailored to the individual refugee's needs & skills • Supporting a holistic approach through partnership working • Alignment with existing local services to ensure a joined-up package of support • Supporting those assessed as needing additional support in addition to mainstream services e.g. DWP Job Centre Plus Network and Adult Education Budget (i.e., they would not be able to progress to self-sufficiency with mainstream support alone). Reed in Partnership delivers the Central London Careers Hub, providing high-quality careers education to all young people. We are looking for a provider to enhance support for special educational needs & disabilities (SEND) students in alternative provision. The delivery period will be spring and summer terms of the 2024/2025 academic year, supporting 14 alternative provision settings. We are looking to work with a provider who will: 1.Take a whole school approach to careers education, make a positive impact on the Gatsby Benchmarks and improve the range of future roles young people in these settings consider. 2. Work with educators and careers leaders to create sustainable skills, knowledge and actions in supporting confident careers guidance education for SEND students. 3. Undertake a deep dive analysis of current programmes, to inform specialist careers strategy support and resources. 4. Deliver growth in the number and variety of employers engaging in careers programmes in these alternative provision settings. 5. Train educators and careers leaders to facilitate tailored programme delivery to support young people to achieve positive destinations. 6. Provide educators and careers leaders with frameworks, tools and resources to support students to build and demonstrate employability skills and knowledge. 7. Provide a quantitative and qualitative impact evaluation report and end of programme case studies. It is expected that the successful provider will deliver an in-person launch event to kick-start the programme. Our Community Hubs in Lewisham and Croydon offer co-designed, person-centred support to ex-offenders, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. We are seeking to enhance our Community Hub provision through barista training provision to deliver end-to-end training and employment pathways in our Lewisham and Croydon premises. Initially, this will be a 12-month programme to support 132 service users to gain practical skills, confidence, and access to sustainable employment in the hospitality sector. We invite Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from organisations with a proven track record in delivering inclusive, impactful barista training and employment services. Applicants must demonstrate experience and capability in the following: On-site face to face barista training - Including supervision and practical delivery at our hubs. End-to-end delivery of training and employment pathways - Including training, CV writing, interview preparation, soft skills development, employment placement and casework support to move into, sustain and progress in work as a barista or other hospitality roles. Successful experience working with and delivering outcomes for this client group - Applicants must have an understanding of inclusive and appropriate hiring practices for individuals with convictions and effective mechanisms for informing programme design/delivery through consulting those with lived experience of the criminal justice system.
