The provision of legal advice relating to:
•general procurement and contract matters including the implementation of the new public contracting regulations (PCR);
•interpretation of Local Audit related legislation, ie Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, the Local Audit (Appointing Person) Regulations 2015 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015; and
•the Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Additional information: The length of the contract will be for a period of an initial term of three years (31/03/2026). There is the option to extend by mutual agreement for up to a further two years which makes the latest possible contract end date 31 March 2028 if the option to extend is fully exercised.
