Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking a number of providers for the delivery of the vehicle recovery provision. There will be a requirement to recover, store, dispose of, illegally, dangerously or obstructively parked, broken down, collision damaged, abandoned and stolen motor vehicles, together with vehicles seized.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Nottinghamshire is leading a joint procurement for Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire police forces for the Provision of a Fleet Management System and Appropriate Support Services for a four (4) year initial period, with the option to extend for two (2) periods of 24 months each. Nottinghamshire Police ("the contracting authority") wishes to procure a cannabis biodigester that renders seized cannabis plant material non‑recoverable, converting it to grey water for lawful discharge under UK based environmental legislation. The machine must be able to digest "fresh" plants as well as dried leaves with "gummy" edible cannabis products optional but preferred if possible. The machine must be able to handle ~20 tonnes per year. Suppliers must size the unit to meet or exceed this throughput. Suppliers must also note if fresh cannabis plants must be shredded or could be to improve machine efficiency. The unit will be installed at a secure police site and operated by trained police staff under chain‑of‑custody controls - it must therefore on machine show volumes digested with tamper proof logs preferred but optional.
