The new supplier will deliver a phased approach to updating and replacing our old signage and branding with new and improved notices and signs - including estate and block names and estate maps.
Phoenix has provided documentation of the number and types of signs we currently have across our estates. However, the new supplier will need to formulate an approach to physically cross-check our documentation with what we currently have on-site within our estates and provide a new schedule of our signage within a spreadsheet.
The scale of the project will vary from just undertaking replacement of signs to introducing new signage to our estates. It is envisaged that there will be three types of signage within the project. A member of the Estate Services team will accompany the new supplier when touring the sites if required.
Existing signage and branding
If a signage system is already in place and all that is needed is to procure new slats or a few simple additional signs, we will replace/update those.
Estate names and notice plaques
If a signage scheme is required for a simple building that would not require any major wayfinding analysis, suitable signs required would be for basic information and signs for naming estates and blocks.
Removing excess signage
If a signage scheme is already in place and no replacement is needed. An analysis should be undertaken to see if some signs can be removed - especially signage that is contrary to our objectives as a resident-led housing association.
Due to the recent growth of Phoenix, we would like the new supplier to undertake the updating of signage across our new homes at Grove Park as the first phase.
Height of signage:
Many of our existing signage is of mixed height. The new supplier will undertake measurements during the physical estate analysis.
Branding:
Phoenix introduced a corporate identity in 2014 to give all communications a consistent, strong, and modern look. The corporate identity needs to be incorporated into the sign design and must not be changed or adapted in any way. You should use our corporate brand guidelines, logos, and font to deliver a clean and timeless brand, with consistent lettering, fonts, and colours. Phoenix will supply brand guidelines to the new supplier.

Phoenix Community Housing is a not-for-profit resident-led housing association based in south London. We own and manage more than 7,600 homes in the Lewisham wards of Bellingham, Catford South,?Downham and Grove Park. We?are committed to providing homes and services that meet residents needs and are exploring cost effective solutions to provide sustainable homes.
Phoenix' current telephone system has been in place for over ten years.? Initially it was at the leading edge of technology in its area, but over time technology and the organisation's requirements have moved on.? The current system is based on ISDN circuits - a hardwired solution between the local exchange and Phoenix' Head Office.? This technology is now end of life, meaning Phoenix cannot increase its current capacity of 40 lines - a limit we often hit at peak times.? Further, BT currently plans to decommission the UK ISDN infrastructure by the end of 2025.
Hybrid working is now built into the culture and working practices at Phoenix, and the current telephone system is limited in its ability to support staff working from outside the office, whether from home, around our properties or elsewhere.?The business uses soft phone technology for its call centre operation, work mobiles for office staff and tablets and phones for operatives. We require a telephony solution for all aspects of work that can be interlinked so that the Call Centre function can contact a colleague with ease.
Our intention is to procure and implement a cloud-based service that replaces the current telephony system and provides a robust telephone service that can handle an increased capacity of calls as well as provide better integration into our other primary systems, particularly those built upon Microsoft's cloud based 365 product set.
