The Tender is for the redevelopment of the existing suite of field guide applications into one field guide application. g. Installation of Stone Dams into gullies
h. Installation of Peat Dams into gullies
i. Installation of Peat Bunding
j. Re-profiling of hags and gully sides
k. Installation of Timber Dams into gullies
l. Installation of Heather Bales/coir logs into gullies and peat pans
m. Spreading of Heather Brash on bare peat
n. Spreading of Lime, Seed, and Fertiliser

r. Footpath construction and or repair

The National Park Authority are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake rock scaling and maintenance and engineering works on the Authority's Monsal Trail. The trail comprises former railway lines and therefore the works are on ex railway cuttings. The works involve repair and maintenance work to the structures.
There is a wide range of works to be carried out which are all detailed within the tender pack. However, the works include:

Felling and extraction of larch trees at Leam Wood
The Peak District National Park Authority requires a contractor to fell and extract to roadside larch trees at Leam Woods, near Grindleford, Derbyshire. There is an estimated 3000 tonne that requires removal. Works are to be undertaken during dry weather conditions between the months of September and January over a period of two years (2023/2024 and 2024/2025). Hydrological blocking works and sphagnum planting is proposed on the Orchard Common Moorland complex. This is part of a wider SSSI, SPA and SAC designation and includes seven separate moorland blocks listed below. The area shown is owned and managed by the PDNPA and covers 215 hectares.

Review of the effectiveness and financial sustainability of Visitor and Cycle Hire Centres
The Authority is looking to engage a consultant to undertake a full review of the effectiveness and financial sustainability of its Visitor Centres and Cycle Hire Centres. You will assess the suitability of each location (geographically and spatially), consider any potential new or alternative locations, with the long-term intention that we are able to maintain a network of Visitor Centres, although what these look like, where they are, how they are structured/staffed and what they offer is all open for consideration. Removal and Replacement of Footbridge at Cressbrook Mill
The Peak District National Park Authority is seeking to commission the replacement of a footbridge located adjacent to Cressbrook Mill, Cressbrook, Derbyshire. The project involves the removal of the existing footbridge and the design, supply and installation of a replacement footbridge based on the concept designs supplied as part of the tender pack. Contractors are free to manufacture or source the structure as they see fit but the overall dimensions and materials used (GRP deck and timber parapets) shall conform with the concept design supplied within the pack.

The Peak District National Park Authority owns and operates a wide range of sites that are either open to the public or used daily by staff. This tender is for a single cleaning contract across all sites around the National Park. This will include all cleaning services as well as the supply and replenishment of all consumables within the public toilet facilities and the supply of all necessary cleaning
The Authority is looking to engage a cleaning company to provide a full cleaning service for all public toilets, visitor centres, ranger bases, offices and a campsite. The contract term will be for 5 years.
