This contract has been awarded to Catch A Fire Limited to act as an extension of the OS in-house design team. The contract is for an initial two years (with an optional 12-month extension).

Implementation of Ordnance Survey Impact Study Framework
Implementation of Ordnance Survey Impact Study Framework. Following on from 'Phase 1' activity conducted earlier in 2025, in which an Impact Study Framework was developed for Ordnance Survey (OS) and proposed an initial plan for follow-on activities. This Contract will deliver phase 2 and the implementation of the Impact Study Framework.
Phase 2 will build on the framework developed for evaluating OS's impact in phase 1. The focus of phase 2 is twofold, the refinement of the balanced scorecard and strategic goals document and the delivery of an independent impact assessment.

Printing Services for Ordnance Survey Guidebooks (Short Walks Made Easy)

OS have an established guidebook series called ‘OS Short Walks Made Easy’ (SWME), an individual guidebook sells at a retail price of £8.99. These guidebooks are aimed at customers who are wanting easy-going walks between 2-4 miles. Each guidebook has 10 walks which are aimed at making the outdoors easy for novice walkers, families that are buggy/pram users and people who use a wheelchair or an all-terrain buggy. Each SWME guidebook is 80 pages in total with a front and rear cover.
OS are seeking a Supplier to print stock of the new titles (titles 34-45) and to print stock of any reprints that need completed. Reprints of the current titles are driven by stock levels and may only occur once the existing stock sells out. There is a further requirement for the print production of any new OS guidebooks which OS may introduce during the contract term. The Supplier shall maintain a flexible approach and print any additional books or guidebooks that OS may require.
OS has a requirement to procure a Remote Sensing Aerial Acquisition Framework for the capture and post processing of remotely sensed data. This includes all information relating to the planning and execution of remotely sensed missions and the post processing of acquired data.
The creation of additional datasets. This includes further processing of acquired remotely sensed data to create datasets, products and services which meet OS requirements.
To provide Ordnance Survey with the capacity and capability to acquire a broader range of flown datasets outside of the standard Nadir Imagery currently collected at a National Scale
The Framework will be for four years with an option to extend the Framework by up to a further 2 years.
The supply of Product Management Consultancy Services. The engagement is structured into five overlapping phases. Each phase delivers outputs while feeding evidence and insight into the next, ensuring that by the end of the contract Ordnance Survey has a comprehensive evidence pack for the business case.
