The purpose of this procurement is to address potential health and safety issues based on evidence available from Martech testing reports to establish the condition of the reinforcement within the structural slab. The structural integrity of the balconies are becoming compromised as they are all semi-exposed to the elements and currently these structural steel reinforced slabs have no form of waterproof protection. The proposed structural remedial works are located at Gertrude Road and Lavengro Road (Project 44) and George Pope Road (Project 45). As this contract comprises of the two separate Projects, the council is conducting an open tender for either two separate contractors to provide the delivery of each Lot/Project or one single contractor to provide the whole works for both Lots (see ITT for full information).
