PROVISION OF A MANAGED MAINTENANCE SERVICES OF MARINE UNIT FLEET ASSETS.

1.1 The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is one of twenty areas that have secured funding from the Home Office to develop a Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and commission services to deliver interventions that reduce serious violence. 1.2 The Northumbria VRU uses a Public Health Approach to tackle violent crime by working collaboratively with police, local government, health agencies, education representatives and other community representatives to crime to address the underlying causes of serious violence. 1.3 The VRU is seeking a suitable qualified Provider to offer a teachable moment, at the point of which the offer of support is more likely to be heard in a positive way. The service will become a pathway within custody and community settings across the Northumbria Police Force Area and work with Children and Young People up to the age of 25 at risk of engaging in serious violence and/ or knife crime.

The Northumbria VRU uses a Public Health Approach to tackle violent crime by working collaboratively with police, local government, health agencies, education representatives and other community representatives to crime to address the underlying causes of serious violence. The VRU is seeking a suitable qualified Provider to offer a community support service support using a Whole Family Approach. delivered within custody and community settings across the Northumbria Police Force Area and work with Children and Young People aged 10-17 at risk of engaging in serious violence and/ or knife crime. In addition, the provider will offer people subject to probation, aged 18 plus, and supervised by the Integrated Offender Management scheme wrap-around support, to encourage access and engagement with community resources. Also, to deliver a schedule of structured interventions and activities that encourage positive change and reductions in reoffending.

Supply and Installation of a Replacement Custody and Station Fire Alarm System at Etal Lane Police Station

The aim of this Contract is to procure Veterinary Services on behalf of Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria. Northumbria Police Dog and Mounted Section requires the successful contractor to provide a fully professional service in order for the Section to continue to provide a service to the public. The Customer's Mounted and Dog Sections are vital to the effectiveness of 24 hour operational policing, hence, the care, health and welfare of these working animals is imperative. This tender will be subdivided into the following lots detailed below: • Lot 1: Police horses • Lot 2: Police dogs

There is a requirement from the Home Office that all VRU's must undertake several evaluations, to review commissioned interventions which contribute to the evidence base to determine which interventions work to reduce serious violence and knife crime. The Home Office have issued guidance in relation to the types of evaluations which should be undertaken such as economic and impact evaluation processes. The Home Office have also stipulated how much of the VRU budget should be allocated for evaluation work across the three years.

Provision of a Minor Building Works Framework

Northumbria Police are seeking the services of one supplier to deliver service and maintenance support to approximately 300 Cisco Switches of different models and types.

Northumbria Police Officers regularly utilise their first aid training to provide medical assistance to members of the public who have suffered injury or illness. It is the responsibility of the Force to provide first aid provision not only to the public but also its own staff. The provision of first aid by Northumbria Police is essential to maintain the trust and confidence of the public we serve. It is also vital that the equipment we use to provide that medical cover is of a standard and quality that assists us to give the best care we can when it is required. Our current contract ends on 31 May 2023 and we need a new contract in place for 1 June 2023.

The Design and Build of a Boat Shelter at Northumbria Police marine unit.

Northumbria Police will lead the procurement exercise on behalf of the following collaborative partners; Durham Constabulary, Cleveland Police, North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) and Cleveland Fire Brigade. The Customer is looking to procure a complete Waste Disposal Service, which will not only remove waste from the Customer's sites but focus on helping the Customers to increase recycling levels, sustainable practices and embed best practice when it comes to waste. The Customers wish to appoint a single Contractor with the view of developing a partnership in order to produce a successful Contract for all parties involved.
