Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management (NHFM) is part of the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHCFT). NHFM are seeking suppliers who can provide a Theatre Utilisation Software Solution.
The NHCFT current theatre management system - Nexus Sapphire - is required to be upgraded with a new solution, as the current version being used is now outdated and does not allow for correct reporting (utilisation and other items).
The current solution has an indicative 1000+ users allocated. Staff Groups consist of, but is not an exhaustible list, Secretarial, Contact Centre, Managers, Ward Clerks, Coding etc. This volume may fluctuate, down as well as up. The Trust requires a flexible licence model as it may decide to rationalise the user base, which may reduce/increase the volumes and as such Suppliers will need to give full details and costings of the licence model(s) offered. This could be a concurrent licence, perpetual licence, Subscription user licence or enterprise licence agreement model etc

Cellular Pathology laboratories in the North East North Cumbria (NENC) region currently maintain long term (30+ years) archives of all wax tissue blocks and microscope slides that are produced. The North East & North Cumbria Pathology network (NENC) has obtained limited Digital Diagnostics Capability funding from NHS England for purchase of an “advanced archiving solution” that will both save time for laboratory staff and dramatically reduce the risk of misfiling and loss of tissue blocks and slides. Any proposed archiving solution must be compatible with the current and legacy linear and/or data matrix barcodes on blocks and slides for identification of the materials.
