The Northern Station Alliance projects at Altrincham, Heaton Chapel and Trafford Park, are designed to bring back into use redundant or under utilised existing spaces at the station to create community tenancy spaces for use by local community groups.

GRIP 5-8 Principal Contractor for Customer Information Screens at 77 stations for Northern Trains Limited
Northern Trains Ltd requires a rollout of upgrades, replacements and new installations of our Customer Information Screens, Public Announcement Systems and Help Points for 67 of our existing stations.
This tender is part of the wider NTL CIS Replacement programme, which is scheduled over roughly 5 years and aims to upgrade existing CIS displays, PA systems and help points across all of NTL's stations. The programme is broken down into lots, and lot 1 is the third part of the programme (the tender for lot 0A was concluded in November 2021, and lot 0B in July 2022). Lot 1 consists of an additional 67 stations distributed across the Northern network. An estimated construction phase of lot 1 is 6 months, with a deadline to be agreed between parties.
An additional Work Package has been include within the Tender. The TRU Work Package consists of 10 stations with a requirement to upgrade the existing CIS displays, PA systems and help points.
