London North Eastern Railway Limited (LNER) and Northern Trains Limited (NTL) have a requirement to deliver a Service Quality Regime (SQR) in support of their obligations to the Department of Transport (DfT). In order to deliver the above we are looking for a supplier or suppliers to provide independent inspections and mystery shopping across our networks with the requirement split into four lots to obtain the best solution. Bidders are free to bid for any combination of the following four lots: - 1.Service Quality Management System 2.Service Quality Register 3.Service Quality App/inspections software 4.Service Quality Inspections There will also be a requirement to deliver reporting and insights in order to ensure full compliance with the SQR. During the life of any agreement there may also be an opportunity for TransPennine Trains Limited (TPT) to join the arrangement with further details provided in the tender documents.

To undertake site surveys at the 33 stations using the original design reports as source material, in order to inform and develop the AFC designs and proposals in line with Network Rail Standard Civ/L2/CIV/FormG, NR/L2/TEL/30135. The designer must also include any other applicable standards including but not limited to the Northern Trains SISS specification Northern Trains Electrical specification.

unit 195104 that was involved in a derailment near Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, on 22 March 2024.
The derailment was caused by a void in the ground approximately 150m from the mainline, leaving a section of unsupported track. When the train, passed over this section of unsupported track at 56mph the front three carriages of the train became derailed. The train struck a dry-stone wall running parallel to the track following the derailment. It remained upright and came to a stand with the rear of the train around 31m beyond the void.
The objective of this tender is to engage with suppliers who possess the necessary skills, capacity, and technical expertise to complete a one-off repair for 195104 and return the unit back in a condition fit to return into passenger service. The focus of this tender is to establish a baseline cost and agreed methods of working to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality repair.
