The Works will include but not limited to the following:
Transmission Towers:
NIE Networks’ transmission overhead line network operates at 275kV and 110kV.
Works associated with the painting of transmission towers include:
• Cleaning and preparation of steelwork tower members
• Application of Primer
• Application of Top Coat
Distribution Towers
NIE Networks’ distribution overhead line network operates at 33kV, 11kV and LV. Works associated with the painting of 33kV transmission towers include:
• Cleaning and preparation of steelwork tower members
• Application of Primer
• Application of Top Coat
The Framework Agreement period is 4 (four) years with the option, exercisable exclusively by NIE Networks, to extend the Framework Agreement for up to two additional 2 (two) year extension periods. Potential total Framework Agreement duration of 8 (eight) years.
NIE Networks wishes to award a Framework Agreement for the provision Tower Steelwork & Substation Gantry Condition Assessments (Lot 1) and LiDAR surveys (Lot 2).
NIE Networks wishes to procure the services of suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the Provision of Tree Cutting. The Works shall be divided into 4 geographic Lots as follows:
• Lot 1: North (main lot will be sub categorised by voltage LV, 11kV, 33kV, Transmission and Major Projects)
• Lot 2: West (main lot will be sub categorised by voltage LV, 11kV, 33kV, Transmission and Major Projects)
• Lot 3: South (main lot will be sub categorised by voltage LV, 11kV, 33kV, Transmission and Major Projects)
• Lot 4: East (main lot will be sub categorised by voltage LV, 11kV, 33kV, Transmission and Major Projects)
The Works across all lots are for the provision of Services and Works in relation to tree cutting associated with:
• New build Transmission and Distribution Overhead Lines on all voltages up to and including 400kV
• Refurbishment of Transmission and Distribution Overhead Lines on all voltages up to and including 400kV
• Storm escalation work regarding Transmission and Distribution Overhead Lines on all voltages up to and including 400kV
• Fault & emergency work regarding Transmission and Distribution Overhead Lines on all voltages up to and including 400kV
• Other associated works and services in connection with the above list as deemed
appropriate.
The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Framework Arrangement under which it shall appoint Economic Operators to enter into separate Framework Agreements for the Supply of Reclaimed & New Electrical Insulating Oil and Associated services across a number of separate lots. Each Framework Agreement will be for a period of three (3) years with an option, exercisable entirely at the discretion of the Contracting Entity and subject to the terms of the Framework Agreement, to extend by a further optional period of up to two (2) years, with a total potential duration of five (5) years.
NIE Networks wishes to procure services in the following and related areas:
1. Creative concept and design,
2. Media and digital planning and buying,
3. Advertising campaign management including evaluation and general advice and
assistance in regard to advertising across Northern Ireland.
The contractor will be required to support NIE Networks core team of communications and
media specialists by delivering campaigns in the following areas:
· Safety
· Recruitment
· Vulnerable customers
· Security of supply

The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Framework Arrangement under which it shall appoint Economic Operators to enter into separate Framework Agreements for the provision of Waste Management Services across a number of separate lots. Each Framework Agreement will be for a period of three (3) years with an option, exercisable entirely at the discretion of the Contracting Entity and subject to the terms of the Framework Agreement, to extend by a further two (2) optional period of up to five (5) years, with a total potential duration of eight (8) years.
Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited (NIE Networks) has a requirement for the supply and delivery, to sites within the Northern Ireland Electricity Networks area of supply, of Synthetic Hydrocarbon Insulating Oil (Specification 204-27) for use in Oil-Filled Pressure Assisted Cables operating up to 275kV
The purpose of this procurement exercise is to award a framework agreement for a suitably qualified and experienced supplier for the provision of Market Entry Process and Test Coordinator. The services provided to NIE Networks must be of a high quality standard, and regular reviews with the appointed supplier shall be established to monitor and review quality of work throughout the contract period
NIE Networks Limited seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation on framework for the supply of 11kV & 33kV Distribution Capacitor Banks.
The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Framework Arrangement under which it shall appoint Economic Operators to enter into separate Framework Agreements for the provision of Technical Resource Augmentation across a number of separate lots. Each Framework Agreement will be for a period of three (3) years with an option, exercisable entirely at the discretion of the Contracting Entity and subject to the terms of the Framework Agreement to extend by a further two (2) optional period of up to four (4) years, with a total potential duration of seven (7) years.
The Contracting Entity intends to establish a Framework Arrangement under which it shall appoint an Economic Operator to enter into a framework agreement for the provision of Electricity Services. The Framework Agreement will be for a period of one (1) year with the option (entirely at the discretion of NIE Networks) to extend by up to an additional 24 months.
The purpose of this procurement exercise is to award a framework agreement for the supply of AVC Relays for the NIE Networks Transmission & Distribution system . The period of this agreement is for 5 years subject to satisfactory performance review, with an option, entirely at the discretion of the contracting entity, to extend for the period of up to a further three years.
The S1133 (2024) contract will facilitate NIE Networks' internal work requirements associated with the provision of Cable Jointing Services, Replacement of Compound Filled Service Cut-outs and Loop Service Replacement. This contract comprised of 3 Lots. Potential suppliers had the opportunity to submit bids for each of the Lots.
The purpose of this procurement exercise is to award a framework agreement/s for the supply of mechanical connectors for use on the distribution network. The period of this agreement is for 5 years subject to satisfactory performance review, with an option, entirely at the discretion of the contracting entity, to extend for the period of up to a further three years.
It is intended that the Contracting Entity will, subject to a sufficient number of compliant responses being received, enter into Framework Agreements with 3 Economic Operators with Call-off Contracts allocated on a mini-competition or direct award basis, as set out in the Call-off Procedure (in Appendix C of the Tender Documents). Separate Framework
Agreements will be entered into with each successful Economic Operator.
NIE Networks wishes to appoint an Economic Operator to enter into a framework agreement for the provision of Mobile Telecoms Services to include;
The provision of Mobile Telecoms Services will include, but not be limited to;
• The provision of mobile ‘airtime’ services (calls, texts, and data)
• The provision of mobile Equipment (mobile phones, tablets and data dongles) and
accessories (cases, screen protectors, chargers & charging cables).
Economic Operators will be required to provide solutions capable of supporting NIE’s mobile services requirements for mobile business calls, mobile business data and the purchase of equipment and accessories. Roaming services will also be required with particular importance to Roaming provision & rates within the Republic of Ireland.
