This document details an invitation to quote for contractors/consultants to produce a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for Bransdale, North Yorkshire. It is being issued by the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA), initially based on input from the National Trust, Forestry England and the Nawton Tower Estate. Wider stakeholder inputs are expected as part of the development of the CMP. The CMP will support and inform development of Nature Recovery projects, as part of a wider Landscape Recovery1 project, and incorporating the ongoing conservation management of the dale.

Installation of large woody material (LWM) and channel creation at Bonfield Ghyll Farm, Helmsley. Install a series of four large wood material structures along a 40m stretch of Bonfield Gill to improve: Diversity in flow conditions and habitats. Natural flood management through water retention and attenuation of flows. Ecological enhancement of the in-stream and riparian zone. Work consisting of: Transportation of LWM to Work Site 1 (450m) Excavation of the bank in preparation for installation Installation of LWM and anchoring with boulders (to be obtained with agreement from estate quarry to west of holding) Site restoration Contour Wetland Swale (CWS) with overland flow: realign 20-30m of channel to encourage even dispersal of flow to surrounding ground, attenuate flows and reduce erosion. Work consisting of: Creation of a CWS through the excavation of a new channel Sealing off old channel Infilling old channel or filling with brash

Installing a series of 7 sediment coir rolls, removing and replacing a twin wall pipe culvert and regraded associated track, and installing 'aqua rock bags' to reduce bank erosion.

To undertake a census of water vole across the North York Moors National Park in 2023, supported by National Park trained survey volunteers. The project will involve assessing the suitability of surveyed sites for small pearl-bordered fritillary and water vole, and undertaking water vole surveys. It will also require DNA analysis of existing water vole population to determine relatedness, as well as analysing existing mink records and engaging with local communities to produce a viable mink population control plan. A project report summarising the findings of the surveys and setting out a detailed strategy to recover and improve resilience of populations of water vole and small pearl-bordered fritillary in the North York Moors National Park will also be produced. Data on the distribution of small pearl-bordered fritillary in the National Park will be provided.

The purpose of this brief is to seek a contractor to carry out a peatland restoration project across 5 sites owned by Forestry England. 4 of these sites are 'forest to bog' restoration projects.

The purpose of this brief is to seek contractors to submit quotations for tree planting and associated weldmesh guard installation, to form a Procurement Framework. Following the evaluation of responses, a procurement framework will be established with suitable contractors, from which contractors will then be approached as sites become available, to quote for works at specific sites across the North York Moors National Park during the winter of 2023/24. At this point a detailed Site Specification will be shared, including landowner contacts to arrange a site visit, and an updated quotation will need to be given based on the specific site circumstances. There is no guarantee of the volume of work which will be given to an individual contractor, and the Authority holds the right to contract works outside the procurement framework.

The expansion of our car park located at Newton under Roseberry, we are expanding our existing area to include 27 new spaces. The more extensive works required on the north and south ends of the car parks, some in the central areas. A re full retarmac is required of the existing footprint of the car park along with new car park lining. New turf required on the grassland boarders. The purpose of this brief is to seek a contractor to carry out boundary work associated with the creation of new native woodland at Rock House Farm, Hackness, Scarborough, YO13 0BS.

The purpose of this contract is to seek a contractor with suitable sustainability, energy survey and architectural expertise to deliver the project which seeks to: 1. Establish the energy/carbon baseline for domestic and non-domestic buildings in Lastingham village, and subsequently develop a menu of options for reducing their energy emissions and greenhouse gas footprint. The output would be an understanding of what building energy and retrofit measures will reduce emissions, and at what cost. These bespoke reports will be made available to all participating residents as household reports and form the basis of a report to the Authority detailing the overall feasibility and cost of achieving net zero in the settlement. 2. The purpose of this contract is to complete a moorland restoration on an area of deep peat of approximately 10 ha. The contract will be completed to the bespoke Peat Restoration plan and Yorkshire Peat Partnerships Technical Specifications.

Undertake Moorland Wading Bird Surveys, using standardised methodology, across the National Park over the spring/summer 2024 and produce a survey report.
