Annual approximate spend £790,000 Service will be delivered from a purpose-built respite centre and any other additional premises identified by the Local Authority. Service will ensure there is suitable carer respite for people who need it.

North Tyneside Council (the 'Authority') is seeking tenders to enter into a framework agreement (Framework) for the delivery of Legionella surveying and analysis and Legionella remedial works its non-residential buildings (hereinafter referred to as the Works). The nature of the non-residential premises will include, but not be limited to, education premises, commercial premises and public buildings. These premises may be owned and operated by the Authority, their business partners and private enterprises. The Buildings are all located within the Borough of North Tyneside and their opening hours will vary due to the nature of their operation. Any restrictions and access to premises will be advised at the point of notification by the Authority and their representatives. The Contractor should ensure that they have adequate resources to meet the needs of the Contract, where the majority of planned works at educational premises will be scheduled to be undertaken during school holiday periods. For the purposes of the CDM regulations 2015, generally North Tyneside Council (the Authority) will act as Principal Contractor. The Authorised Officer is the Authority staff member or representative, authorised to request works to be undertaken with the terms of the Contract. There are 2 lots under this framework. Lot 1 - Surveying and Analysis Works, Lot 2 - Remedial Works

The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a framework agreement (Framework) for the delivery of its Fire Alarms, Fire Fighting Equipment and Intruder Alarms Repairs and Servicing Works (the Works) to assist with the delivery of the Authority's capital investment plan. The Framework arrangement will consist of an initial term (period) of 2 years, with 2 further options to extend up to 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Authority.

The Authority is seeking Construction Material Suppli-ers for the supply of Painting and Decorating materi-als. It is anticipated the Contract will commence on 1 September 2025. The Framework is for an initial 24 month period with the option to extend for a further two, twelve month periods. The materials are made up of core products which must be delivered to the Authority's main stores in Kill-ingworth, NE12 6QQ no later than the second working day following order, and must be capable of urgent collection when required within the Travel To Work Ar-ea. Additional non-core items may be required within three working days. Tenderers will be asked to hold prices for 12 months and a mini competition will be carried out annually between the successful Suppliers.

North Tyneside Council is seeking tenders for the delivery of planned metal works and fabrications for operational, schools and commercial buildings. The Framework is for an initial period of 2 years with the option to extend for 2 further 12 month periods (potential 4 year contract). North Tyneside Council is seeking to commission a fully integrated Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS) for an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for up to two further years. This service will deliver holistic, trauma-informed support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse - including both adults and children - regardless of protected characteristics, gender, or level of risk. The model will combine therapeutic and practical interventions that promote recovery, safety, empowerment, and long-term resilience. As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support to those affected by domestic abuse, North Tyneside Council is commissioning two separate contracts: Lot 1 - Domestic Abuse Support Service, Value £630,000 per annum: This contract will deliver an integrated model of community-based and accommodation-based support for adult victims and survivors of domestic abuse, including refuge and dispersed accommodation, IDVA support, outreach, behaviour change programmes, and adult counselling. Lot 2 - Counselling, Therapeutic Support (4-18 years) and Outreach for Children and Young People (11-18 years), Value £190,000 per annum: This contract focuses on providing age-appropriate counselling, therapeutic play, and outreach support to children and young people aged 4-18 who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Providers may submit bids for one or both lots. Each lot will be evaluated independently, and providers should ensure they address the specific requirements and evaluation criteria for each lot they wish to apply for. Collaborative or consortium bids are also welcomed where appropriate. This dual-lot approach recognises the distinct needs of adults and children affected by domestic abuse, while promoting coordination across services to provide whole-family support.

North Tyneside Council is looking to appoint an experienced organisation to provide a service to distribute a free residents' magazine to every residential property within the Borough of North Tyneside. This will be three editions per year in spring, summer and winter. The Contractor shall take delivery of 97,300 magazines on pallets from the organisation appointed by the Authority to print them, and distribute a copy to every residential property in the Borough, including residential homes, flats, sheltered and multiple accommodations. Full distribution shall be completed within ten working days of receiving delivery of the magazines.

North Tyneside Council is looking to appoint an experienced organisation to print their residents' magazine. This will be three editions per year in spring, summer and winter. The Contractor shall be required to print 98,500 magazines and deliver 97,300 copies to an organisation which the Authority has appointed to carry out its distribution; and the remaining 1,200 copies to the Authority's Quadrant headquarters. All copies of the magazines shall be delivered within seven days of receipt of the artwork from the Authority. Please note there are restrictions on the size of vehicles that can access the council offices site. Vehicles of class 1 HGV (Articulated Lorries) size and above are unable to access the site.

North Tyneside Council is procuring a contract for the processing of food waste collected within the Borough from Spring 2026 with the aim to recycle food waste.

North Tyneside Council (the Authority) is seeking to appoint a contractor (Contractor) for the safe, compliant and efficient management of its Waste Management Contract (the Contract) in line with the Authority's objectives as set out in the North Tyneside Plan (the Opportunity). Following a pre-market engagement exercise which included a market engagement event on 21 July 2025, the Authority has refined its approach to the procurement and Contract and wishes to bring the Opportunity to market and invite participation formally (the Procurement). The Opportunity The Authority is responsible for the management of c. 77k tonnes of waste across all treatment types (Energy from Waste, landfill, composting, recycling and reuse) per annum. The Contract will cover all existing responsibilities under the current arrangement including the: (i) transfer and treatment/management of all residual waste; (ii) management and operation of the Authority's transfer station (the TS); (iii) management and operation of the Authority's household waste recycling centre (the HWRC), including transfer and treatment of all materials; and (iv) transfer and treatment of kerbside and collected garden waste. The Authority is seeking a Contractor with whom it can work to integrate waste management hierarchy principles into the Contract. These principles, rank (in order): (i) waste reduction at source; (ii) reuse; (iii) recycling; (iv) energy recovery; and (v) disposal without energy recovery (the Waste Hierarchy Principles). It is anticipated that during the term of the Contract, the Contractor will perform the following services: 1. Operate the TS to (i) receive all waste delivered by the Authority under the Contract (including from the HWRC); (ii) interface with the Authority's Food and DMR contractors regarding collection of their wastes from the TS (iii) segregate and provide haulage services for all other waste for onward transportation; (iv) integrate and apply the Waste Hierarchy Principles; and (v) ensure the TS remains compliant with all relevant environmental permitting regulations. 2. Operate the HWRC to (i) receive household waste without charge to residents; (ii) ensure that only household waste is deposited at the HWRC; (iii) provide for clear and efficient segregation of household waste, such that the potential for re-use or recycling is maximised; and (iv) maintain safe and efficient access to and through the HWRC, while minimising vehicle queues on the public highway. 3. Make arrangements with suitably licensed facilities to accept materials segregated at the HWRC that do not require processing at the TS. Further details about the services and the Authority's requirements are stated in the tender documents. In addition to the existing service requirements under the Contract, the Authority is considering a variety of options as part of this Opportunity, including: 1. gainshare arrangements for reuse and recycling income, third party waste income and electricity and/or heat income; 2. the potential development and operation of a second HWRC site; and 3. proposals for reuse of materials to generate income. The Authority is seeking to appoint a market leading organisation with demonstrable experience across similar contracts and a market leading approach to innovative waste management. Applicants are encouraged to use this Procurement to demonstrate to the Authority how they will work pragmatically and collaboratively to develop solutions that satisfy the Authority's needs and incentivises the Contractor's performance. The Authority encourages small and medium size enterprises to participate in this Procurement, either as Applicants, consortium members, supply-chain partners or sub-contractors. The Contract is valued at approximately £11,000,000 yearly for an estimated total value of £220,000,000 over the maximum duration of the Contract (20 years). Applicants should note that the top three KPIs that the Authority intends to publish performance information against are likely to be the following: 1. Rectification of Non-Compliance Failures 2. North Tyneside are procuring services for the delivery of Short Break Services for children and young people and their families. This is the 3rd re-opening of the framework. The framework is broken down into 6 Lots.
