The Trust has been in review to acquire Key Management Cabinets within secure facilities where Clinical and Non-Clinical staff members will be able to use the resource on a daily basis to ensure the prevention of staff taking keys off-site, misplacement, and reduce costs for replacements. The Key Management cabinets will be in secure environments whilst also denying unauthorised access to members of staff who are not required to access keys without authorisation.
The secure cabinet is to ensure that keys do not go missing and the system allows the trust
to ensure keys are positioned back before the end of the shifts. The Trust will require a system that can securely store individual keys and alarm fobs which are to be easily accessible to assigned staff members through a PIN number or biometric detection.
