Newport Town Council is currently looking to replace the existing lights and install new sustainable lighting in Victoria Park in Newport on the path leading from the Newport Swimming Baths towards the Victoria Park car park. Newport is a small Market Town rich in heritage. Victoria Park is located adjacent to the Shrewsbury and Newport canal which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest which has a Scheduled Ancient Monument. We would like the new lighting to reflect this in its design and be in keeping with the town's conservation area.
