New Forest District Council (NFDC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake comprehensive fire safety upgrade works and associated refurbishment at two residential properties: Whitecroft, Hythe, Hampshire, and Clarks Close, Ringwood, Hampshire.
The works are aimed at improving fire protection measures, enhancing building compliance with future fire safety strategy requirements, and improving the overall quality of the internal communal areas.
Scope of Works:
Whitecroft (Hythe, Hampshire)
The contractor will be required to carry out the following works:
Installation of new fire detection and suppression systems to meet future-state fire safety strategy requirements.
Fire compartmentation upgrades, ensuring appropriate fire separation throughout the building.
Asbestos abatement, limited to the specified areas identified in the asbestos survey.
Fire stopping works, sealing all identified breaches to maintain fire integrity.
Replacement of fire doors, including frames, hardware, and certification in accordance with current fire safety standards.
Electrical works, as required to support system installations and ensure compliance.
Decoration of internal common areas to enhance safety, visibility, and overall aesthetics.
Clarks Close (Ringwood, Hampshire)
The contractor will be required to carry out the following works:
Installation of new fire detection and suppression systems to meet future-state fire safety strategy requirements.
Fire compartmentation upgrades, ensuring appropriate fire separation throughout the building.
Asbestos abatement, limited to the specified areas identified in the asbestos survey.
Fire stopping works, sealing all identified breaches to maintain fire integrity.
Replacement of fire doors, including frames, hardware, and certification in accordance with current fire safety standards.
Electrical works, as required to support system installations and ensure compliance.
Decoration of internal common areas, improving aesthetics and safety.
Replacement of floor coverings in common parts, improving durability, accessibility, and fire safety performance.
Roof replacement works, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with relevant safety and building regulations.

The Authority requires the provision of asbestos related services & works to comply with its legal duties to manage asbestos in buildings and managing and working with asbestos during planned maintenance and responsive repairs to its property portfolio.
The contract is awarded as a multi-contractor Framework Agreement for a term of four (4) years (July 2025-2029). Services awarded under the contract will be strictly based on the Authority’s operational demand and there is no guarantee of any business volume or value awarded by the Authority to the preferred suppliers.

New Forest District Council (NFDC) are acting as the lead authority on behalf of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Procurement Partnership ('HIOWPP'), a group of Local Authorities, to identify, select and award a contract to a single supplier to provide a Cash Collection Service.
A total of 15 Authorities are named parties to the outcome of this tender and are therefore entitled at any time during the framework term to enter into a call-off contract with the successful supplier.
Other Authorities are named parties on the Framework Agreement and may call off it in the future depending on operational demand.
Establishment of a Multi-Contractor Framework Agreement (2026-30) for Minor Works related to Residential Housing for New Forest District Council (Housing Maintenance)
This contract will establish a Minor Works Framework (2026-2030) to support the delivery of a wide range of small‑scale building, maintenance, and repair activities across New Forest District Council's housing stock. The framework will consist of multiple specialist lots, each covering a defined category of reactive repairs, void property works, or planned minor works.
Services will include, but are not limited to:
General building works (e.g., ceilings, doors, walls, masonry, roofing, structural repairs)
Electrical works (e.g., distribution boards, wiring, lighting installations, external cabling)
Specialist and general cleaning for voids, environmental cleans, and fire‑related cleaning
Internal and external clearances for gardens, waste, and void properties
Drainage works, including CCTV surveys, jetting, repairs, and soakaway works
Groundworks such as paths, steps, block paving and slab replacement
Fencing, glazing, locksmith services, plastering, plumbing, and flooring (including wet rooms)
Roofing works, including repairs, flashing replacement, guttering, chimney work, and minor roof refurbishments
Void refurbishments, covering multi‑trade works to prepare properties for re‑let
The framework will allow NFDC to streamline procurement, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery of minor works. Each lot will be awarded to up to three suppliers, with projects issued either via direct award on a rotational basis or via competition, depending on value.
The contract is expected to run for 2 years initially, with an optional 2‑year extension (2+2), allowing flexibility in response to potential Local Government Reorganisation considerations.
