Mass spectral libraries are required to enhance the accuracy, confidence, and defensibility of chemical identification across NRWAS’s targeted and non-targeted LC-MS/MS workflows. They support statutory duties under the WFD, EQSD, Watch List and incident response by enabling robust identification of pollutants, emerging contaminants, and transformation products. The libraries also improve operational efficiency by reducing analyst time through automated, reliable matching, while vendor-validated reference spectra future-proof analytical capability, minimise lifecycle costs, and ensure results withstand regulatory, scientific, and public scrutiny. These mass spectral libraries are proprietary and exclusively supplied by Bruker, with no alternative source. They are purpose-built to operate within Bruker’s software and instrument platforms, providing the validated compatibility required for accurate spectral matching and dependable analytical performance

Overhead powerlines framework Lot 1a. For the period from 01/04/2026 – 31/03/2027. In respect of work carried out on Overhead Powerlines for North Wales
NRW is responsible for the management of the Welsh Government Woodland Estate and land in our care. NRW is certified by both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) to meet the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS).
This Respacing, cleaning and weeding framework relates to the supply of respacing services, delivering 6 main requirements:
1. Cleaning of naturally regenerated or planted crops
2. Re-spacing of naturally regenerated or planted crops
3. Creation of inspection racks through brashing
4. Mechanical weeding
5. Hand weeding
6. High pruning
Due to the nature of the required works it is difficult for NRW to estimate the value of this framework. For the purposes of establishing this framework we estimate spend in a range of 3,700,000 GBP and 4,500,000 GBP. NRW does not guarantee any level of expenditure under this framework.
The overall Framework will have a term of 48 months (4 years). It is structured as a 36 month (3 year) initial term with 1 x further 1 year (12 month) extension allowable.
Purchase of a new mulcher head designed for forestry sites. It will be a heavier duty head
that will be able to do a more efficient job of clearing scrub on the sites with less down-time due to
mechanical issues. It will be used mainly on LIFEquake sites, but will be available to other teams to use.
LIFEquake (LIFE20 NAT/UK/000137) is a 5-yr EU funded project, run by NRW, working on 7 SACs
in Wales – Crymlyn, Gweunydd Blaencleddau, NW Pembrokeshire Commons, Preseli, Rhos Goch,
Cors Caron & Corsydd Eifionydd. Securing the resilience of transition mire & quaking bog in Wales.
The aim is to bring internationally important habitats and species of the peatlands into good
condition. Currently these rare and threatened wildlife features are in an unfavourable condition and
at risk of further decline.
Pistenbully machine is a low ground pressure machine capable of accessing the very wet sites in the
LIFEquake project. A new mulcher head is required to effectively manage this sites, due to a lot of
mechanical issues with the current flail head.

The pump currently installed at Collister Pill Pumping Station is a Grundfos Sarlin Axial Flow
Pump (type: SA 508 7A511Z 134). This type of pumps is obsolete. As such, we offer Grundfos
KPL Axial Flow pump as a replacement, which is specifically designed for high flow and low
head.
We based our selection on the below duty point:
• Flow Rate = 907l/s
• Head = 3.4m
The new pump offered here is more efficient and comes with a 45kW motor, as opposed to the
original pump’s motor of 50kW. Reduced operational costs are to be expected
NRW is seeking to award a contract for the supply of an All Wales contract delivering FM Soft Service provision to all FFM Managed sites. The full specification is at Annex 1 Specification of Requirements, of this ITT.
The purpose of the requirement is cover routine, reactive, periodic and specialist cleaning of all Natural Resources Wales (NRW) offices and depots across Wales. Alongside the core element of cleaning the contract will provide for adhoc and static guarding. Therefore this contract will ensure our sites are clean, pest free and secure.
Abandoned Metal Mines cause multiple failures of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) standards in Wales, with c.1,300 mines impacting over 700 km of rivers. 11% of our rivers fail their required quality objectives. In the Western Wales River Basin District mine waters cause 23% of water body failures. Nine of the ten catchments most polluted by abandoned mines in the UK are in Wales.
Cambrian Environmental Technologies (CET) has presented a potential alternative solution for treating neutral pH mine water. The CET Aeroflow SAT (Sustainable Active Treatment) system has been developed based on the need for a flexible and adaptive modular system to account for the complexity and site-specific nature of water treatment requirements in a mining context. This purchase is to undertake lab and pilot trials to enable NRW to determine whether Aeroflow SAT is a suitable, alternative treatment method, which could potentially provide resource, energy and waste saving, generating a cost-effective remediation solution.
Following the completion of Phase 1 (lab trials), this VEAT notice is being published to cover the additional costs for Phase 2 (field trials).
