The National Library of Scotland (the Library) is procuring a service provider to implement a cloud hosted Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution and associated services in partnership with the Library.
The National Library of Scotland and the National Records of Scotland jointly require a contract for the supply and delivery of archival boxboard of a range of sizes and weights, to be cut and folded at the organisations' premises using KasemakeCAD box making machines. The boxes will be used to house collection materials, protecting them from fluctuations in temperature and relative humidity, exposure to light and dust, handling damage and the accidental release of water.
All storage and archival work undertaken by the Organisations is carried out in compliance with ISO 16245:2009 Information and documentation - Boxes, file covers and other enclosures, made from cellulosic materials, for storage of paper and parchment documents; and BS 4971:2017 Conservation and care of archive and library collections.
In addition, the procuring Organisations require the uplift of pallets and boxboard off-cuts.

Smoke Extract and Fire Damper Replacement

Causewayside Compartment Damper and Associated Works – Major Construction Project

The complete purchase of a Box Cutting Machine - including delivery, installation, training plus an annual support and service term contract.
To realise the strategic commitments around conservation and preservation of Library collections, the Library requires a Box Cutting Machine for use in the Sighthill Building.
This system must be able to design, crease and cut bespoke enclosure designs.
The boxes created by this system are primarily used by the Library to hold collection items in order to protect and preserve those items. Archival boxboard is the main material used for these boxes as it has preservation qualities.
This is a one-off requirement for the purchase of goods and associated support services for the duration of the term contract.
The Library requires a fully managed contract, including the management of subcontractors as required, for the full delivery of the goods and associated services scoped within this specification over the full term of the contract.

The Library is adopting a Cloud-first approach and is therefore seeking a fully hosted SaaS (Software as a Service) solution accessed through a web browser that fits the Library’s needs. The Library expects no ‘on-premise’ installation.
The required Finance System solution will include: Main accounting package (Purchase, Sales & General ledgers); Purchase ordering system; Reporting system; Ongoing support.
The procured Finance System will effectively accommodate Library operations at the following scale: Six core Finance staff users; 100 general staff users who would be expected to either process purchase orders, undertake invoice approvals or accessing finance reports.
