The National Army Museum (NAM) wishes to appoint a photographer to work within the Museum's Collections Storage site at Stevenage. Due to the pressures of workloads on the Collections Care Team and the requirement to produce items for photography, the work will be carried out on two days a week for approximately three months i.e Stevenage Stores two days a month for three months i.e. six days to help staff photograph a range of collections. Ideally this would include one day of working with staff to photograph material and one day to edit and upload to our server. Two confirm two days a month over three month period - six days The appointed contractor will be authorised to make use of the following equipment but must be able to demonstrate an understanding of NAM equipment which consists of: • Hasselblad X1D Mirrorless Medium Format Camera • 45mm f3.5 XCD Lens • 80mm f1.9 XCD • 120mm f3.5 XCD Lens • Elinchrom ELC Pro-HD Compact 500 Flash Head x6 There may be a requirement to demonstrate and advise staff on the use of the equipment for conservation photography. Tender submissions are requested from suitably qualified and experienced contractors. All submission should be forwarded to tenders@nam.ac.uk on the closure date as indicated above. Tenders received before the published date will not be accepted. Tenders will be assessed in accordance with NAM procedures and may be awarded to not necessarily the lowest price tender. The National Army Museum (NAM) is opening a new permanent gallery called "Army at Home' which opens in September 2023. The Army has had a huge impact on Britain. It helped create and shape the modern British state and its political system. The Army has influenced Britain's national identity and even affected its landscape. It still plays an important role in British public life, fostering national pride and helping to maintain the country's traditions. Throughout its long history, its soldiers have defended our shores and stood ready to assist in times of national emergency. This permanent gallery looks at how at the Army has shaped our nation, from defending us from internal threats to training, changing our landscape and humanitarian missions on home shores. The gallery will be sited in the area previously occupied by the a previous gallery and the Museum is utilise existing display cases . The new gallery will be approx. 250m2. Please note a site visit will be expected by any interested potential tenderer. NAM wishes to appoint a contractor to build the exhibition as outlined in the attached document Annex E Template for Pricing (under separate cover), which should be read in conjunction with all the design drawings in Annex F (under separate cover). The contractor is responsible for taking their own measurements from site. The build budget is in the region of £155,000 excl vat (one hundred and fifty five thousand pounds sterling).

The National Army Museum (NAM) requires security presence 24/7 at its sites in Chelsea and Stevenage. The security contractor is required to provide an effective and efficient, overt uniformed manned security service, which includes, but is not confined to: Control Room manning, alarm and CCTV monitoring; Provision of staff for static and mobile posts; Access control including public entrance duties and car parking; Control of security items e.g. access equipment including secure key issue. Ensuring that any faulty items noticed observed while on patrols are brought to the attention of the relevant departments Receipt of goods; Emergency and evacuation duties; Production of reports and documentation; Other duties that may be mutually agreed from time-to-time.
