As part of the Regulatory, Permitting and Consents, Sizewell C (SZC) is required to monitor air quality, noise, water quality and vibrations. For this purpose, SZC is looking for an Operator who can meet all the following deliverables for the above four categories. Scope of Supply and Deliverables 01. To achieve the requirements of this Environmental Monitoring Package, the selected supplier will be providing the following services: 02. Procure and install all required monitoring equipment. This will be procured on behalf of SZC as SZC would own the equipment to ensure continuity of supply should the consultant change. 03. Undertake and evidence maintenance and calibration of the equipment. 04. Provide subject matter expertise and support. 05. Undertake monitoring in accordance with relevant monitoring management plan. 06. Undertake analysis, evaluation, and monitoring of sampling data against compliance standards. 07. Provide dashboard reporting for circulation internally within SZC and externally with stakeholders as per the relevant monitoring management plan. 08. Ensure all document and data management follows the Environmental Monitoring Surveillance Plan. 09. Liaise with SZC Environmental Teams and other site stakeholders. 10. Liaise with laboratories and maintain onsite facilities. 11. Conduct compliance with DCO and permit requirements. 12. In the case of emergencies provide out of hours advice and guidance function in accordance with emergency reporting procedures. 13. Develop and complete appropriate paperwork (Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP), RAMS, POWRAS, reports, O&M manuals, as-builds, ITPs, QIRs, APs...) 14. Overall technical oversight for the operation and maintenance of all Environmental Monitoring systems. 15. All site monitoring staff to have CSCS cards and go through SZC security clearance. 16. Ensure that all environmental monitoring management plans are briefed to the appropriate personnel by a SQEP person. 17. Ensure all monitoring procedures are reviewed within agreed frequencies. 18. Conducts Pre-work briefings with staff. 19. Monitor H&S of team. 20. Report faults and problems in a timely manner. 21. Undertake daily monitoring checks in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance. This will also cover for review of monitoring dashboards for errors and faults. 22. Monitor standards of workmanship. 23. Manage workload appropriately. 24. Supplier to manage critical spares for the equipment to avoid any downtime for the monitoring equipment. Following on from SZC ESG Paper for PPE, the requirements fall into two categories mainly. These are I. Inclusivity of PPE - PPE should be available in designs to suit different genders, modesties, and cultural identities to make it practical and safe for the whole SZC workforce; and II. Reduction of Waste - requirements should be set out which reduce the waste generated by PPE enabled by central sourcing, for example through re-use, appropriate non-wasteful allocation, or recycling. The service to be procured will support the following four categories: I. Contractor PPE (outerwear PPE layer includes any jacket and trousers worn as a top layer and accessories) - issued by contractors at Point of Use II. Visitor PPE (outerwear PPE layer only and accessories) - managed by FM team III. Vended PPE - near Point of Use for PPE single use items and accessories IV. Specialist PPE - Occupational Health, Fire and Rescue Services, Safety Marshalls The market is expected to comply with the following I. Responsible Manufacturing - production processes through sustainable methods and recovery of end-of-life items II. On and Offsite Storage - with managed delivery to Contractor site based drop off and distribution points III. Secure lifecycle management, scanning, potential laundry, reuse, and destruction for end-of-life garments, with minimal waste to landfill and a linked roadmap to carbon zero. Laundry will be required as part of this service, and the project will consider an onsite or offsite facility (based upon the feasibility) from which to carry out this service. The project will also consider a local 3rd party/ sub-contractor working with the main operator to provide the laundry services. We are seeking services of a Waste Management Operator/ Contractor who will manage all waste on behalf of SZC on site. The Waste Management Operator will be required to manage the Waste Consolidation Centre as well as coordinating with other contractors on site. The Waste Management Contractor services will go beyond Enabling Phase to main Build Construction Phase. Scope of services is attached.
