NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WYICB) is inviting interested bidders to express an interest for any or a combination of the proposed Lots and to attend an Early Market Engagement Event. The event is an opportunity for potential bidders to inform the proposed service specification and for bidders to assess their capacity to meet the demand of the services.
The proposed services are divided into 3 Lots, as follows:
Lot 1: Screening & Assessment Service (Single City-Wide Provider)
Lot 2: Consultant-Led Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) Service (Any Qualified Provider)
Lot 3: Adult Hearing Aid Test & Fit Service (Any Qualified Provider)
Please note that the services being proposed is to be delivered to Leeds patients only and not across West Yorkshire.
It is proposed that the Screening & Assessment Service (Lot 1) which is a City-Wide Service for adult hearing loss will include the following:
• onward referral (triage)
• screening and assessment service to include ear health check, wax removal if required and an initial hearing assessment.
• the issue of self-fit hearing aids if required.
• distribution of hearing aids to all providers in the city
• management of an Integrated IT System and
• provide Clinical Leadership.
The Consultant-Led ENT Service (Lot 2) will receive referrals from triage for normal ENT referrals aged 5 years and above and referrals from the Screening and Assessment Service for ENT and audiology diagnostics.
The Adult Hearing Aid Test & Fit Service (Lot 3) will provide access to hearing aid provision for patients from the Assessment and Screening service who require non-self-fit hearing aids which will be provided free of charge to patients from the Lot 1 provider.
