The forthcoming contract All Wales Contract will be for the provision of Lymphoedema & Compression Products. The contract will mostly consist of off the shelf and made to measure upper and lower limb garments, but will also include miscellaneous products such as leggings, shorts, glue, foams and donning aids.

PHW is seeking a single provider specialising in warehousing, distribution, and fulfilment to manage the ongoing storage and distribution of a wide range of public health information resources to professionals and public across Wales. The key contract outcome being sought is that customers who order health information resources from PHW will have their orders fulfilled accurately and efficiently by the supplier in line with agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services (NWSSP ProcServ), hosted by Velindre NHS Trust, invites tenders on behalf of all NHS Bodies in Wales to appoint suitably qualified Suppliers of Women and Child Health Consumables, to include, but not to be limited to: General Gynaecological items (e.g. sounds, dilators, single use pessaries), General Obstetric items (eg. Breast Pumps, Nipple Shields, colustrum containers), Vaginal Specula, Re-Usable Vaginal Pessaries, SCBU Items (e.g.soothers, mattresses) and Sanitary Products to an all Wales Framework Agreement. Improvement Cymru, Public Health Wales is looking to commission an experienced evaluation partner between September 2022 and June 2024. They will undertake a mixed-methods evaluation of the coaching and support that Improvement Cymru provides to Health Boards and trusts to identify patient safety and harm reduction priorities, including activities toward improving patient safety capability and delivery, and support to spread and scale these activities.

In support of the NHS Wales National Succession Strategy and delivery of key talent and succession objectives, outlined in HEIW’s IMTP . HEIW proposes to deliver aspiring executive development centres, with the aim of supporting NHS Wales aspiring directors/executives to assess their current capability and readiness to move into an executive role and provide a visible national pool of executive talent. This requirement relates to the design of an aspiring executive development centre model and delivery of the model to pilot in a live environment. The requirement will also involve the development of internal capability and experience of HEIW / NHS Wales staff, through the provision of training, shadowing and resources, to enable continued delivery of the aspiring executive development centre without reliance on external expertise. Public Health Wales seeks to commission the establishment and piloting of a population panel for Wales, to engage the public on issues of key public health importance (e.g., health inequalities, health behaviours, population aspirations for public health, perceptions on public health policy, and new avenues of research and evaluation). Establishment of the population panel will focus on panel recruitment, methods of panel rotation, and methods of participation and their implementation (e.g., online survey self-completion, computer assisted telephone interviewing [CATI], computer assisted self-interviewing [CASI], mixed approaches to suit participant preferences). We envision each monthly panel survey to include a sample of approximately 800-1,000 residents. Panel membership will ensure national representativeness within each monthly survey, according to geography, age, sex, and deprivation quintile (as determined by the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation), with over-sampling of participants resident in Wales’ most deprived lower super output areas. Panel membership would also represent the rich diversity of the Welsh population, with over-sampling of under-represented population groups, including by ethnicity, disability, and younger age. We expect the pilot phase (to March 2023) to include recruitment and initial surveying of panel members and second-contact surveying to inform understanding of retention, possible attrition, rotation, and ongoing maintenance of the panel.

The Academy will deliver long-term sustainability and respond to change, providing a dynamic capability for Wales. Delivered through a case-based pedagogy, the ILA will offer an evolving portfolio of flexible, accessible, experiential practice-based learning opportunities and best in class, Masters Level, experiential learning programme for frontline staff at all levels of health and care organisations. Due to this course outline, the Health Board has a requirement for Immersive Leadership Training and Community Organising.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is a Special Health Authority within Wales which sits alongside Health Boards and Trusts. HEIW have a Professional Support Unit (PSU) who's role is to promote and support positive psychology and wellbeing at work for medical, dental and pharmacist trainees across Wales. Some trainees will require short term support by an appropriately qualified and experienced specialist that is outside the scope of internal PSU service expertise. Therefore HEIW have a requirement for a specialist psychological service provider to provide support to trainees across Wales for physical health, mental health, special learning and educational needs and personal and professional skills.
