NHS Orkney Health Board has a requirement for the provision of a patient transport service for non-emergency patients and their escorts from both Orkney and Shetland. The contractor shall be responsible for the assistance and safe passage of the patients between Aberdeen Airport and/or Ferry Terminal and various hospitals in the Aberdeen area.
This is a significant opportunity for an interested party to hold a General Medical Services Contract for an established population. This has arisen as a result of the GP partners at Daisy Villa Medical Practice deciding to retire from the practice and therefore ending their nGMS and Dispensing Contract with NHS Orkney. There were 1,540 registered patients as at 1 April 2024.
