The Termination of Pregnancy Service is a compassionate and confidential healthcare service designed to support individuals facing unplanned or challenging pregnancies.

The aim of the service is to provide a consistent and high-quality anticoagulant service across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR), that is complimentary to the core primary care services, to ensure the clinical needs of this population are met.

The service is to deliver end-of-life medicines and urgent community (palliative care drugs) in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Provision of a clinical triage and navigation service in response to people's urgent health care needs, following referral from NHS111 or healthcare professionals in the community.

The aim of the service is to provide evidence based minor injuries care that optimises health and wellbeing and reduces the impact of ill health, whilst reducing pressure on both emergency and Urgent Care services.

Provision of integrated urgent and primary care services in a community care setting within Leicester City, including an Urgent Treatment Centre (08:0-20:0) and a GP Out-of-Hours service (21:0-08:0) seven days per week, to meet local demand and prevent and reduce the number of patients avoidably attending ED. Referrals are accepted from 111, the LLR Clinical Assessment Service (Clinical Navigation Hub), walk-ins, as well as ED redirection referrals from UHL.

The services are provided in a model of local integrated urgent care that enables the rapid assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with urgent care needs in East Leicestershire and Rutland, to meet local demand and reduce the number of patients avoidably attending an ED. This notice is for a Direct Award C PSR process to commence from the 1st of April 2026 for 24 months bringing the lifetime value of the contract to the value of c. £5.5m.

Service Specific: Orthopaedics - Routine Joints

NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Commissioning Board is commissioning a GP-led Same Day Access Service delivered during evening and weekends for Leicestershire County registered patients, within specified locations. The delivery model is through at-scale providers operating on behalf of the primary medical care community. This notice is an Intention to Award a contract under the most suitable provider process. NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board is intending to commission the service by awarding four (4) contracts, the lots will be according to geographical areas as per below, at specified locations within each area, with the following values: LOT 1 - Area of East Leicestershire: £1,029,120 LOT 2 - Area of North West Leicestershire: £225,792 LOT 3 - Area of Hinckley & Bosworth: £225,792 LOT 4 - Area of Charnwood: £225,792 The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £1,706,496, divided into the four lots as detailed above. The service is to be delivered from 1st of April 2026 until 31st of March 2027.

To provide a service users focused high quality Glaucoma Service consistent with 2022 NICE Guidance, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and national best practice standards. The service will also be responsible for ensuring that service users are signposted and if required referred on to other services for eye conditions that are not managed by the service.

To provide Service Users diagnosed with a cataract in one or both eyes and potentially will require cataract surgery, meeting the Right Care selection criteria in addition to locally defined clinical criteria.

The service provides for the initial diagnosis, follow-up & ongoing assessment for Service Users with corneal and external eye conditions which includes; dry eye to ocular surface disorders, conjunctival lesions, pterygium, keratoconus management, corneal and conjunctival infection, complex corneal cataracts, corneal dystrophies and corneal transplantation in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR).

The service provides for the initial diagnosis, follow-up & ongoing assessment for patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nARMD), retinal vein occlusions (RVO) & diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular oedema (DMO) across Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland (LLR).

The service provides for the initial diagnosis, follow-up & ongoing assessment for service users with eyelid, lacrimal and orbital disorders in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). The service must be Consultant led and is provided by Consultant Ophthalmologists specialised in lid, lacrimal and orbital disease, supported by specialist nurses and specialty fellows in ophthalmology (with higher training in lid, lacrimal and orbital disease)

The service will provide for the initial diagnosis, follow-up & ongoing assessment for service user with surgical retinal pathology, including but not limited to retinal detachment, retinal tears, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, sequelae of complicated cataract surgery, management of dislocated lenses, vitreous haemorrhage, vitreo-macular traction, and advanced proliferative diabetic retinopathy requiring surgery, across Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland (LLR). The service is Consultant-led and is provided by Consultant Ophthalmologists specialised in vitreo-retinal surgery.

To provide a patient focused high quality consultant led YAG Laser Capsulotomy Service consistent with NICE Guidance, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and national best practice standards. The service will also be responsible for ensuring that patients are signposted and if required referred on to other services for eye conditions that are not managed by the service.

The aim of the service is to provide assessment and intervention to children and young people for mild to moderate eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours via a range of evidence-based therapies, guided self­ help, peer and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis.
