NHSL942 South ADP Training - Alcohol and Drug Field
1.1 NHS Lanarkshire Health Board, a statutory body constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (“the Board”) and on behalf of South Lanarkshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (SL ADP), wishes to procure an organisation, who will work alongside SLADP to offer a service that ensures the workforce across the partnership-including voluntary and third sector organisations is trained to a high standard.
This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice and is intended to provide notice of the Authority's intention to award two contracts for delivery of End of Life and Hospice Services covering the population of Lanarkshire. The contracts will cover a period of 36 months, with the option to extend for a further period of up to 36 months.
This notice is made by the Lanarkshire Health Board, hereinafter referred to as “the Authority”). The aggregate value of both contracts is estimated at GBP 35,302,511 if both are extended to their maximum potential term.

NHSL743 NEC4 Supervisor with clerk of works duties for the Monklands Replacement Project
NHS Lanarkshire requires NEC4 Supervisor services and clerk of works duties services for the Monklands Replacement Project (MRP). The full extent of the services is subject to the execution of the Works Contracts for MRP and could include: enabling works, road works, input to scope (Works Scope) in the run up to Final Business Case (FBC); and after FBC approval, if received. Work is expected to start in 2025, with hospital completion in 2030/2031, with a defects liability period of 2 years.
1.1 NHS Lanarkshire, on behalf of South ADP wishes to commission an organisation who as lead providers will work alongside the SLADP to offer an Alcohol Specific Service. The eligibility criteria for the service will include individuals who have harmful/hazardous and problematic alcohol use and want to engage with a service to reduce their alcohol consumption.
NHS Lanarkshire wishes to procure a service provider to work alongside the South Lanarkshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (SLADP) to offer a service that ensures support is available at various points within the justice system to those most vulnerable and disengaged. The successful provider will deliver clear opportunities for individuals to access support services that mitigate the risks associated with being involved in the justice system and will place a strong emphasis on trauma informed practice, and will work in an integrated fashion so as to deliver positive outcomes for those people who are vulnerable and at risk of being criminalised.
NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) require a high quality, reliable, efficient and cost effective Pest Control Service throughout the Board, at the core of which will be a commitment to sustaining and protecting the environment.
NHS Lanarkshire wishes to appoint a Contractor for the issue of Oral Nutritional Supplements to adult patients in the community on an 'off-script' basis.
There is currently an average of 1,250 deliveries made to ONS patients in the community on a monthly basis, this number is approximate and likely to increase or decrease based on the requirements of NHS Lanarkshire’s patients. The contractor must be able to cope with decreases or increases to delivery numbers throughout the contract.
The contractor will be required to supply ONS products to bolus fed patients and will be required to report on the supply to these patients.
The supply of ONS to acute sites will continue to be via national framework NP512/19 and any of its successors, the contractor products used in acute will mirror the outcome of this tender.
Police Custody Healthcare and Forensic Medical Services
Lanarkshire Health Board wishes to procure healthcare services for people brought to Police Offices and healthcare facilities within the NHS Lanarkshire area in support of Police Scotland Criminal Justice Services Division.
NHSL191-24 Washroom & Baby Changing Bin Exchange Service
NHS Lanarkshire Health Board, a statutory body constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (“the Board”), wishes to procure the collection, transportation, segregation and thereafter recycling or safe disposal of all washroom and baby changing bin exchange services arising at various operational sites throughout the Lanarkshire area (“the Service”).
NHS Lanarkshire wishes to put in place a contract for Funeral Services. The contract will be split into 4 lots:
Lot 1 – Covering North Lanarkshire – pregnancy over 12 weeks, these will be individual cremations/burials and service, ashes will be scattered in the garden of remembrance. This activity will be carried out during office hours.
Lot 2 - Covering South Lanarkshire - pregnancy over 12 weeks, these will be individual cremations/burials and service, ashes will be scattered in the garden of remembrance. This activity will be carried out during office hours.
Lot 3 - Covering Lanarkshire Wide – pregnancy under 24 weeks, this will be carried out as shared service and cremation. This activity will be carried out during office hours.
Lot 4 - Covering Lanarkshire Wide, Transfer of Deceased. - This lot covers the transfer of deceased from any NHS Lanarkshire mortuary site to another based upon capacity. There will also be a requirement to transfer deceased from any of the three acute sites to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital mortuary for hospital Fiscal PM’s. Bidders should note that there will on occasion be a requirement for the transportation of bariatric patients. This activity will be carried out during both office and out of hours

NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) requires a Board-wide contract for Asbestos removal services. Asbestos was widely used in construction materials until its ban in the UK in 1999.
The UK has strict regulations governing the management, handling, and removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 outlines legal obligations for duty holders, including property owners, managers, and employers, to manage asbestos risks effectively.
The NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) estate includes approximately 60 properties varying in size from large acute hospitals to small rural GP practices
NHS Lanarkshire’s Podiatry service provides triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and foot health education to patients with a lower limb condition or a condition throughout their body which affects the lower limb. The Podiatry service focuses on the needs of the individual to support and enable self-care where possible. The products which will be included within this Contract are also utilised by NHS Lanarkshire’s Orthotic service.
NHS Lanarkshire, on behalf of the ‘Participating Authorities’, comprising NHS Lanarkshire Health Board (‘NHS Lanarkshire’), whose requirements include services provided by NHS Lanarkshire on behalf of NHS Dumfries & Galloway Health Board, and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (‘NHS GGC’), wish to put in place a framework agreement for the provision of a cleaning service which uplifts ward bed curtains and window curtains, launders them and returns them.
Lanarkshire Blood Borne Virus (BBV) networks, on behalf of NHS Lanarkshire wishes to commission blood borne virus, health and wellbeing services to support individuals, families and communities from ethnic minorities living, working or studying in Lanarkshire.
Provision of BBV and Sexual Health Improvement Service - High Risk Groups
Lanarkshire blood borne virus network, on behalf of NHS Lanarkshire wishes to commission a blood borne virus and sexual health improvement service to groups at high risk of sexual transmission of blood borne viruses (BBVs), sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and poor sexual health, supporting individuals within high risk groups.
Provision of Steam Boiler Feedwater Treatment and Systems Management
NHS Lanarkshire Health Board, wishes to procure the provision of Steam Boiler
Feedwater Treatment and Systems Management. The Board has a series of local agreements in place for
steam boiler feedwater quality management, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Remedial Works
for all associated feedwater equipment. The Board intends to put in place a single
contract capturing PPM, feedwater quality management and associated remedial works.
