Specialist MGPS maintenance contractors are invited to submit a (fixed price) quotation for the maintenance of the MGPS, DAVS and PLGS installed within the relevant NHS Grampian properties.
The Contractor is required to undertake all works as described in this specification and generally in accordance with SHTM 02-01, Part B Section 10 and the relevant equipment manufacturer’s recommendations. In order to monitor the contract, the contractor’s ‘Contract Manager’ will be required to attend regular contract review meetings with the Board’s Co-ordinating Authorized Person (MGPS) / Medical Gas Lead. The frequency will be determined as the contract progresses although this will typically be six-monthly.
The particular specification provides gives the Contractor more detail of the requirements of the maintenance requirements and expectations of the Board.
The schedule of equipment lists all plant and equipment on which the maintenance is to be performed and details the level(s) of task for each item.

The contract will be for a period of three years and with the option to extend for two additional one year periods at the authority’s discretion (3 +1 +1).

NHS Grampian has a requirement for the provision of a service for the transportation of urgent laboratory samples from the Laboratory Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital Elgin to laboratories at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, AB25 2ZD, AB25 2ZB and AB25 2ZN and to Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, AB25 2ZW and at Raigmore Hospital, IV2 3UJ. The Authority hereby requires a service contractor to perform periodic planned maintenance, testing and servicing of all specified automatic door systems in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions and as set down in the relevant standards
One linear accelerator is to be replaced, installed at the Aberdeen Cancer Centre (ACC), Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Campus, Aberdeen, as it has reached the end of its recommended life-expectancy and is due for replacement under the Scottish Government’s Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP).

1x Linear Accelerators (AB3): a Linac that is capable of efficiently delivering Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) treatments
NHS Grampian requires to enter into a Measured Term Framework Contracts for the provision of Several Works and Single Trade Works in the Grampian area. The area extends from Forres in the Northwest across to Peterhead in the East and down to Laurencekirk in the South.
The framework agreement is for several works, which includes but not limited to Building repairs and maintenance, total overhaul and refurbishments, electrical works, mechanical works, external civils works, road repairs & maintenance roofing works, plumbing works, flooring, painting, and decorative works, building works, joinery works, and small scale jobbing works etc.
All NHS Grampian properties/sites are situated in the Grampian region and for this framework, will be split into three geographical areas, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray. The Forensic Service in Grampian is based in the Low Security Blair Unit at Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen.
The requirement is for inpatient beds within the Blair Unit to receive General Medical Services from an aligned General Practice.
This would allow them access to screening services and appropriate recall methods which are typically used within general practice.
Two Surface Guidance Radiation Therapy Systems are to be installed at the Aberdeen Cancer Centre (ACC), Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Campus, Aberdeen to existing Linear Accelerators. This is funded under the Scottish Government’s Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP).
NHS Grampian (The Authority) requires to enter into a Measured Term Framework Contract for provision of Asbestos Removal and Remediation Works across the Grampian region. The area extends from Forres in the Northwest across to Cullen in the East and Tomintoul in the West and Laurencekirk in the South.
The framework seeks to appoint a maximum of 3 suppliers for the provision of Asbestos Removal and Asbestos Remediation Works for a period of 48months with an optional extension period of 12months subject to mutual consent.
Works are to be carried out following current legistation and industry standards.

NHS Grampian, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), Aberdeenshire HSCP, and Moray HSCP, invites experienced and qualified service providers to tender for the provision of the Grampian Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) Service. The selected provider will act as a hosting partner responsible for managing, delivering, and integrating this holistic cancer support service across Grampian.
The product for replacement under this new contract is for one (1) HDR Brachytherapy After-Loader.

The Inspection and Certification of equipment are for equipment within the Acute (Hospital) Setting.
While the Certification, servicing and Repair of Patient Lifting Equipment are for those within the Community Setting.
Provision of Patient Transport Services for patients without access to private vehicles, support from family or friends, or voluntary sector transport, as well as those whose usual transport arrangements are temporarily unavailable.
To facilitate efficient and effective patient transport service delivery, the requirement is divided into nineteen geographical Lots.
