Dorset Integrated Care Board (Dorset ICB) are seeking the provision of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services in the following three categories which will be procured as three separate Lots within a single process.
Lot 1 Planned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service
Lot 2 PTAC (Patient Transport Advice Centre)
Lot 3 Unplanned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service
The NEPT Service promotes access to healthcare provision through an NHS funded transport service for those patients registered with a GP in NHS Dorset meeting the eligibility criteria as set down by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Including vulnerable people by reason of mental health or learning disability, children, and eligible escorts.
The role of the PTAC Provider is to liaise with patients/carers and subject to eligibility criteria book transport for qualifying patients.

Each of the Lots will be contracted for an initial term of 5 years at a combined total of £34,600,179, with an option to extend any period up to a further 3 years giving a combined total of circa £58,795,624 as defined at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. Services are scheduled to commence on 1st July 2023.

The service is to be responsive and organised to meet people's needs. This includes service planning and delivery to meet the requirements of local people and their individual needs in accessing care and treatment flow in a timely way.
Health systems suffer alongside Service Users if transport is delayed:
o Creating disruption and unnecessary cost.
o Holding back the use of beds for others who need them.
o Undermining a Service User's continued recovery and wellbeing during discharge.
The NEPT Service promotes access to healthcare provision through an NHS funded transport service for those patients registered with a GP in NHS Dorset meeting the eligibility criteria as set down by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Including vulnerable people by reason of mental health or learning disability, children, and eligible escorts.
It is therefore a requirement that journeys must comply with eligibility/access criteria contained within the Service Specification and the NHS Dorset Eligibility Criteria Framework Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS). As such, a Service User's need will determine the required vehicle, crew, and any escort/s. The Contract will be for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to extend for any period up to a further 2 years, as defined and at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. Services are scheduled to commence on 27th April 2024. The budget is £1,623,566 inclusive of VAT per annum which would give a total contract value of £11,364,961 inclusive of VAT, over 7 years if the full contract term is fulfilled.

The services to be provided for under this contract are Physical Health Services The contract award has been made following the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process A. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £402,000,000 (including the extension option). The contract term runs from 01 April 2026 until 31 March 2028 with a 12 month extension option).
The services to be provided for under this contract are Digital Mental Health Services. We are intending to award a contract to an existing provider, following the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £237,000. The contract term runs from 01 April 2025 until 31 March 2026.
The services to be delivered under this contract are Complex Domiciliary (Home) Care Services for Adults & Children and Young People. This notice is a confirmation of an award having been made based on a framework agreement and without competition. The contract is based on activity, with rates set out in the local prices schedule of the contract. The contract will run from 01 February 2025 until 31 March 2032.
The services to be provided under this contract are specialist palliative care services. We are intending to award this contract to an existing Provider, following the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £6,401,855. The services are to be delivered between 01 April 2025 and 30 March 2027, with the option to extend for a further year until 30 March 2028.

We are intending to award a contract to an existing provider following Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £1,228,079.25. The services are to be provided from 01 April 2025 until 31 March 2028, with an additional extension option from 01 April 2028 until 31 March 2030.
The services to be provided for under this contract are Care Home Telemedicine Service to improve the quality and timeliness of care for care homes and their residents We are intending to award a contract to an existing provider, following the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £485,000 The contract term runs from 01 April 2025 until 31 March 2026.
We intent to award this contract to an existing provider using Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. The services to be provided are community services. The annual value of the contract is £393,583. The contract term is from 01/09/2024 to 28/02/2025.
