Phase 1 will also commission 2 national reference centres (contracts of 3 years). Phase 2 will be to commission HPN Centres only in the areas not covered or awarded in Phase 1. Provision of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) Services on behalf of NHS Derby & Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG)
NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (DDICB) (formerly Clinical Commissioning Group) (referred to as the Commissioner) invited suitably qualified and experienced providers to express an interest in delivering the Service(s), by responding to the opportunity as required and described within the published tender. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) acted as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the procurement process.
The Derbyshire NHS mental health service provider (Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (DHcFT) did not provide a PICU service for patients to access. DDICB were seeking to procure PICU service(s) to meet the Derbyshire population need for psychiatric intensive care services.
The purpose of the Psychiatric Intensive Care Service is to provide high quality holistic care in a safe and therapeutic setting for service users in the most acute and vulnerable stage of illness. It is not for long term care.
To ensure care is contracted to meet this demand DDICB wished to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 9 Male beds (Lot 1) and 4 Female beds (Lot 2) for an initial period of 2 years (commencing 1st February 2022 to 31st January 2024) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 31st December 2025).
It was accepted that with fluctuating demand there may be times when additional service provision is required above the block contract agreements for both Lot 1 - Males and Lot 2 - Females. As such DDICB wished to enter into a Spot-purchase (Lot 3) contract agreement where individual placements could be called-off against agreed terms and conditions. The Spot - purchase arrangement was for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st November 2021 to 31st October 2023) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 30th September 2025).
Full details of the service were included as part of the tender documentation.
The Commissioner was not able to award contracts for Lot 1 and Lot 2 as no bids were received that met the minimum quality threshold advertised.
Lot 3 was awarded on a zero value, zero volume basis.

NHS England is seeking to commission service(s) to serve the North Yorkshire & Humber Operational Delivery Network (ODN) area, to provide patient-finding and access to / support for specialist treatment for Hepatitis C infection. This will complement and work in partnership with the ODN, who will retain overall clinical responsibility and oversight.
The service requirements are to deliver a minimum of 500 Hepatitis C Direct Acting Antiviral (DAA) treatment starts during the 12 month period from the service commencement date. We would expect at least 80% to complete therapy and report on treatment outcome 12 weeks after completion (SVR12).
These treatment starts should be primarily within the North Yorkshire and Humber ODN, though patients from neighbouring ODN areas (in liaison with the relevant host ODN) can make up to 10% of the total number of treatment starts and, by specific agreement with NHS England, the service can expand to other pre-defined regions and negotiate to exceed the 10% from neighbouring ODNs.
The targeting and geographical coverage of the commissioned provision will need to be agreed between the Provider(s), ODN Trust and NHS England, to include specific geographical areas which may have been under-served or specific settings (e.g. Gyms and Image & Performance Enhancing Drug Users).

Invitation to Tender For: Community Diagnostic Centres Framework Agreement
The National Health Service Commissioning Board (which uses the operational name "NHS England") has established a framework (the "Framework Agreement")from which NHS England and other NHS bodies (Clinical Commissioning Groups ("CCGs"), NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts (each a "Contracting Authority" and together the "Contracting Authorities")) have the ability to award contracts or sub-contracts for a range of clinical services to be provided from community diagnostic hubs (the "Services"). Please note, the name has changed from "Community Diagnostic Hubs". These will be known as "Community Diagnostic Centres" going forward.
The framework is divided into a number of clinical diagnostic modalities and sub-modalities. Successful providers onto the framework (a "Provider" and "Providers") have, during the procurement process and potentially during the term of the framework, identify those modalities and sub-modalities which they are capable of providing in identified locations. A Framework Agreement has been entered into by NHS England on behalf of all Contracting Authorities with each successful Provider assessed as capable of providing such Services (or any of them) through this procurement process The term of each Framework Agreement awarded pursuant to this procurement is for [3] years with an option to extend for a further [24 month period] (the "Term").
However (as permitted pursuant to Regulation 74(7)), it is anticipated (but not guaranteed) that the Framework will:
• be opened to new potential Providers every 12 months within the Term (in which case new Framework Agreements awarded shall be for the remaining length of the original Term only); and
• be opened or "refreshed" at any time during the Term to allow new and existing Providers to apply for new modalities or sub-modalities relating to the Services.
A total of 57 of the 87 bidders were successful in this procurement process. However, only 52 have had contracts fully signed at this point and therefore another 5 providers are due to be part of this Framework. Details of these 5 providers will be published if and when these contracts are fully signed. Providers on this framework are not guaranteed to receive any amount of work whilst this framework is live.

Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS) Any Qualified Provider (AQP) for Nottinghamshire
NHS Nottingham & Nottingham ICB are seeking suitably qualified organisations to provide a local, direct access non-obstetric ultrasound service with staff qualified to appropriate levels of skill and experience, using ultrasound equipment which complies with the guidance set by the Royal College of Radiologists, connection to NHS image transfer solutions, the ability to integrate with e-Referral system, robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance and compliance with CQC essential standards.
The care pathway being commissioned is pre-appointment communication with Patients, the diagnostic investigation and a report being sent to the referrer, which covers not only the description of the investigation and the findings, but also where appropriate covers any recommendations for further imaging or investigation and advice on management. Structured reporting will be required to support local referrers in their options for further clinical management. The services will need to be fully quality assured, validated and supported by the local Commissioners.
The Provider must aim to provide an excellent Patient experience during all parts of the process - to include the examination and the administrative services. In order to measure this, Providers should have in place robust mechanisms for collecting Patient feedback using approaches that reflect the diverse nature of their Patient population. This should include as a minimum, a Patient satisfaction survey, and one real time feedback mechanism. There must be a sound process for receiving and dealing with suggestions, compliments and complaints.
The aim of the service is to aid early diagnostics and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care, or to support the shift of activity into a primary care setting, where this will improve access. Where there are clear secondary care clinical pathways with ultrasound as a core component, it is more appropriate for this diagnostic to be undertaken as an integral part of the clinical pathway.
The provider will be expected to perform Services across the geography of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB Footprint.
Bidders should note this is a 2 year and 9 month initial term contract with an option to extend the service for up to a further 24 months as required, whilst a review of diagnostics is undertaken, which may lead to a change of service.
The contract is let on a zero value, zero volume basis and activity is not guaranteed.
